Received ITA, need help!

Hello fellow forum members!

I'm currently in Toronto on a work permit and I recently got my ITA and I started gathering my documents such as Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), Employment letters, and Immigration Medical Certificate. I applied for my PCC today (May17th) through BLS India Immigration under the normal (non-emergency scheme) and they kept my Indian Passport and Work Permit for verification for 3-4 weeks. The problem is that I have my medical this coming Friday on 19th May, for which I need my passport, since I don't have any other valid Govt. ID. Can someone guide me on what I should be doing in such a case? Should I postpone my medical? Or will my passport copy along with my PCC document submission receipt will suffice for the medial verification?

Well Passport is not mandatory. Any official photo id such as driving license should be enough. The Panel Physician will write within your application that the document checked was such as Driving license.
Secondly, I have seen it is totally the decision of the doctor if it is acceptable !

My advise: -- Call them and let them know about this situation. Ask them what other ids they can accept?
If they are not flexible just postpone your medical ! The medical should be completed on the same day and they will hand over a document to you which you will have to submit online !..

There are no worries with your case as you have all the options open !

I have postponed my medical for the time being, and will re-book it once I get my passport back after the police verification. Once again, thanks a ton for the help! Sincerely appreciated!!
