Hello,

I just received an ITA under the CEC category but realized while filling out the form that I had made a mistake in the joining month of my current occupation. I accidently selected June instead of July 2014 as my starting month.

Is there a way I can modify the transmitted information (it is currently read only). Does this mean I have to create a new profile or is there a way I can salvage this application?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Send a Case Specific Enquiry explaining the problem. Quick.

Thank you JoacRy! Appreciate the help you have extended in this regard.

From what I have read from other forums, I might have to create a new profile and wait for another ITA because CIC is extremely slow in responding to case specific questions.

Thank you

If you haven't submitted the application there is a way to adjust it.

You just have to make the change and then the crs will be recalculated if needed.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/invite.asp

If a candidate realizes after having been issued an ITA that their circumstance has changed or that the information in their profile, on the basis of which they were issued an ITA, is no longer accurate, the candidate is instructed to recalculate their CRS score using the Express Entry calculator on the CIC website. Examples of changes in circumstance that can impact a CRS score are listed below.

Where there is a change in circumstance and the candidate goes forward with submitting an APR, the candidate must ensure that the change in circumstance is properly reflected in their APR (i.e., the candidate must amend the information that was automatically transferred from their profile to their APR before submitting their application).

Not an issue if your CRS remains above the cutoff for the ITA, as the poster above mentioned. Just update that field when you fill out the eAPR questionnaire and add a very brief LOE in the relevant upload section if you feel like it. You should be fine. It's a minor error that can be remedied before submission.

What JoacRy mentioned applies if you've already submitted your eAPR.

Best wishes.

Thank you ozlis,

I am a little confused here - the part that says "the candidate must ensure that the change in circumstance is properly reflected in their APR (i.e., the candidate must amend the information that was automatically transferred from their profile to their APR before submitting their application"
Does that simply mean that I can make a change in the electronic application for PR and that the information would be updated?

I just checked the CRS score calculator and it doesnt change my points.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
