Hello all

I need a bit of advice, I applied for express entry and did two ielts tests (both valid and within the year) i scored 8.0 in listening in the first and then scored a 7.5 in listening on the second test, i believe i have incorrectly entered the 8.0 from the first test alongside the remaining results of the second test. I was under the assumption that agency would use whichever results was higher from either test. I have now received my ITA and have found out this may not be true at all and subsequently I might have misrepresented my application which i am told is very serious.

In my first test i scored:

listening 8.0 reading 7.0 writing 6.5 speaking 8.5 overall band is 7.5

on my second test i scored:

listening 7.5 reading 7.0 writing 7.5 speaking 9 overall band is 8.0

on my express entry profile i entered the following results:

listening 8.0 reading 7.0 writing 7.5 speaking 9 overall band is 8.0

i believe I listed both certificate numbers on my express entry profile.

The issue is neither test results individually provide me with the minimum crs score drawn in which I got the ITA for. I am literally missing out by 0.5 in my second test,

Therefore my dilemma is do i decline the ITA and redo the IELTS test and reapply with a new certificate. I have booked a new test for the 27th October and expect the results by 13th November 2018.

Or do i take a new IELTS test and accept the ITA once i have my new results which i submit with a letter of explaining the error and provide all three certificates? the issue with this is the third ielts certificate will be dated after the ITA date (15th October 2018) Will this be a problem?

I have under 58 days to make a decision and would rather decline the offer if i have too as soon as possible so i can redo the ielts asap so I can be put back in the draw. Please Help!

Absolutely DO NOT combine IELTS results!
If neither gives you the minimum, take IELTS again and get better score, update your score, and submit only ONE IELTS certificate, not three!

No you can not accept this ITA. Your ITA is based on the IELTS score on the day of the draw

You need to decline ITA. There is no other choice. You cannot mix IELTS test results.

You also need to make sure you update your IELTS score correctly to either results from first or second exam after declining the ITA, else you'd get another ITA in the next round.
