I am still struggling to get my status changed "Received by Visa Office" to "In process". I have sent my full docs to New Delhi on 12/3/10 under Category FSW2. Would this category could be the reason of its delay? However I know many people who they are still in que to chagned their Status from "Received by Visa Office" to "In Process". Your comments are invited?

How long does it take to change the status to "RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE" after VO receive my full docs??

My courier has delivered full docs on 18th June.

Well your delay is due to checks as you are in Toronto and they would be just doing checks to see whether file is eligible for processing or not. Do not worry about the delay. Under the fast track system, a local visa office cannot extend the processing of case beyond 12 months (Exceptions exists) so there might be a delay in processing your case but after medicals it will be a speedy stamping.

I was requested to send my passports to send to ND in the begining of this month and i haad snt it on 06June. Can you guide me what will be the next step. Do i have to wait for (AOR or Interview). My Noc code is 0111.

U hv been very helpful and I want to take as much advise from u ... since u been a senior member on tis forum n know a lot abt the process.
I just want to confirm my E-cas status says received by visa office ..Do u think they wud still do the background checks even though they hv not taken for processing ..I mean the file status still doesnt say IN PROCESS..
Tis Tuesday .. i finish my 3 months from my 2 AOR and as per the letter I m thinking of sending them a case specific enquiry as the letter says u shud receive corresspondence from our office in 3 months .. if not pls write directly to us ..

Once the instruction is clear like your 3 months wait is over, you can send them a case specific inquiry. Ask for the status. Once the documents reach CHC and the status is Received by Visa office, they put the file in Que. Once it changes to In Process then background checks start. This is technical process and most visa offices usually do not follow it correctly. So send a inquiry and ask them the status
