There are only handful of people who have received BVL but no PPR. only consolation is that rejection usually comes along with BVL..so just that there is an extra check on these files hence no ppr.

I have been reading threads regarding students who had prior refusals, most of them received BVL and no ppr for many days and suddenly in one of the weeks mostly all got their ppr.

So this seems to be a trend for people with prior refusals. if you guys had any prior ones, then i guess this is the reason they want to do further checks and holding off the ppr instead of just plainly refusing..they will send PPR to all at once in a few weeks time.

My in laws application stuck in same status. Got correspondence letter two days back. They don't have any prior refusals and this is first application for Canada.

I also saw one refusal for TRV after few weeks of correspondence letter. So rejection may not be necessarily immediate.. not feeling very positive about being in such a state.. :(

There is nothing like refusal the only thing is all trv application process from Ottawa no matter which country u applying from. As of now there’s January intake for students going on so they r working on students application. Also if they issue lots of ppr together there will be rush in related visa office for stamping n all so that’s y they r holding the files which are not priority ones. My parents they got visitor visa in 2019 they have been here for 5 months n went back so don’t think extra check or anything else.

So what travel date have people mentioned here in the application? Let us see if there is any common trend based on that . We have mentioned 1st January 2022 as travel date..

not related to travel date. my father in law had April 2022 (for start of Insurance and travel date) he got the visa and the person whom i have mentioned that has BVL and no pPR had similar dates. Their application was 1 week apart

now when you say this makes more sense to me..you know why as my father in law's visa stamping has not yet happened..he sent his passport 10 days back and still pending. You are right if there is rush at the visa office they stop issuing PPRs. this could be the reason.

did they get medical request or was it upfront?

we didn't do prior medicals and it was done through IRCC request after submitting the application. If they are going to refuse our application, it's sheer waste of our time and money to do that. They could have refused it straight away.

Both were upfront meds

This is making perfect sense to me and I was also assuming the same.

I think next week or second week of December they will give ppr for supervisa and visit visa. As I have seen when they pick particular categories they work on it like bull. If they have to give refusal they can’t wait like this they can give it straight away. So May b tomorrow or next week for sure

hope this comes true..

but I do see all sorts of scenarios in this forum.. both PPR as well as refusal after few days to few weeks of correspondence letter.

I am seeing more and more people who have passed medicals and waiting for PPR. Earlier it was both sent with a day apart i.e. meds passed and next day BVL and PPR.

So I think what @hirenbhaip87 mentioned that it is happening in batches seems more likely now. Next batch should be for those applied up to Oct 1st week.
