Received biometrics payment email - is this a scam? Express entry Oct AOR

Hi all

I received an email today which I am not sure if this is a scam or not. I was wondering if you have received something like this or would know.

The email address is
IRCC.CPCSClientNotification-NotificationduclientCTSD.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

"Dear Client,

We would like to bring to your attention that your recent application for Permanent Residence under the Express Entry program encountered a technical issue that resulted in you not being correctly informed about the need to provide biometric fees.

Please see attachment for further details and instruction.

Thank you (IRCC).

The attachment is formatted as a PDF file. In order to open and read this file you will need a program capable of opening .PDFs. One such program is Adobe Reader, it is free to use and available at the following link"

This is not from IRCC webportal - no messages on the inbox but a direct email. Is this real?

I got the same email and it looks so weird , but the application number that they sent me matches the one in my profile so I don’t know

I got same email today did anyone has paid. I clicked the link but there it showing that we need to pay under express entry application.

"If you are the principal applicant under Express Entry, you must pay your processing fees at the end of your online application."

You need to pay… just follow the instructions

Me too. When did you submit your PR application. I’m trying to know if they sent to all those who submitted at the same time.

Where we have to submit the receipt once I’m done paying it. The link in the pdf is not taking me to correct location. How did you guys send your receipt of biometrics?

should we select "Submit a new ATIP request and pay at the same time" to pay bio fee?

You should select immigration and under you can see express entry and then it will take to biometrics one. Where you can see a table with different types of fees. If you want to pay for biometrics, then just put one in the text box and follow the screen to pay for it.

To send the receipt, the IRCC webform in the email was taking me to some contact us page where I couldn’t find the option to submit it. So I directly went to IRCC web form from google and submit it

Hi, I just wanted to know, do we need to make this payment even if we have given biometrics in the past?

which link did you submit the receipt for biometric under from the site? https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Application
