i just received my AOR from the visa office today, they're asking me to submit documents for the relative in canada and new PCC.
it says " we are now completing the assessment of your applications for a PRV. it appears that you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada. we would like to provide you with an oppurtunity to dispel the following concerns."

can i ask those who received AORs and were asked for additional documents if your letters also contain the same wordings? i'm wondering how they can say that i don't meet the requirements when I have 73 points even without the 5 points for relatives in canada?

Jtob are you applied to the London Visa office. My letter does not mention this statement. But it said that they will check my application if it is eligible or not before they start processing and if it is not , they will refund full amount. I checked with some applicants to London office it seems that they received letters similar to mine which also mentioned that the processing time will take 12 months on average.

Finally also they did not ask me to submit new PCC as your case I think this is because yours alomost expired.

Cheers,
zaid

Dear Zaid

If yr letters use word NOT - its means a decision against your application

Jtob, they referred to proof of relative. Which you are claiming for.
But most importantly they have asked for an up to date Police Clearance Certificate which is one of the most vital documents you must submit to them.
If you think about it, it is the one of the only documents that must also be an original,. Even a notorized copy of P.C.C is useless
Without the P.C.C your are wasting your time and hav,nt a hope of getting to Canada. Sorry, but thats the rule.
If they have given you some time to get these documents act as fast as you can to get them. Good luck with this.

How much more time did they give you to get the documents.

the visa office gave me 45 days to submit the additional documents.

it was my fault regarding the PCC. how stupid of me to forget to put my thumbprint in the PCC. so they're asking for a new one with thumbprints and seals.

with the proof of relative, i have a half brother in canada but i have lost contact with him for years. i knew i couldn't provide proof of relation and am not claiming any points for him, but i wrote down his name anyway. which i thought was the correct thing to do. i should have written a letter of explaination but i didn't, now i'm making one to submit to the visa office.

i hope this just delayed my application and will not have a negative effect.

Hello to all,
I recieved a letter from CHC LONDON yesterday requesting for additional documents, which have to be submitted within 30 days instead of 60.
The person who sent this letter cut the 60 days and wrote 30 instead.
They are not granting points for my uncle alone, who is my mother's real brother, saying that he is not alone eligible for points. They want details of my aunt, who is dead for 13 years. She was a Dutch by birth and a Canadian citizen.
Any ideas anyone?????with similar situation????
regards
shahida.

It is not a standard format. Since they want more documents I would suggest you try and arrange them.
