Greeting fellows in waiting...
My wife in Brazil received a letter a few days ago from Sao Paulo.

Also last week the electronic notification system was updated saying her process began the 12th
of August and that the medical records have arrived.

The letter is asking for her passport... already ?? !!

This seems so wonderfully soon!
Does this sound unusual? Usually some months pass before the passport request comes through.
There has been no request for my wife to come in for an interview... thanks God because that would be
very difficult for her to do alone.
Anyway...

The letter also says "Your sponsor in Canada will be requested to pay the RPRF (Right of permanent residence fee)
on your behalf. If your sponsor does not submit payment to the Case Processing Center in Mississauga within 30 days I will not be
able to issue immigrant visa to you."

So I'm wondering if this is the fee of over $1000 that I already payed? I know there is an option to pay this fee upon before submitting
the application,
or we can wait until notice to pay. So would this be the fee they are talking about? The letter seems to
look like a generic letter so I'm hoping that is all it is and that there is not another fee out there that I'm not aware of.

I will dig up my documents and copies of everything to see if this RPRF is the fee I have already paid.
If anyone knows what I'm talking about please chime in! Thanks.

the entire fee is $1040=$75+475+490 if you already pay that please send a copy to cpc-m and send 1 to your wife so she can send to VO with her passport it looks like they are ready to issue u a a visa hooray find that receipt and send it along please include your file # name etc so they know its your fee you paid congrats

they are asking for the fee of $490 Right of Permanent Residence Fee

Thanks you Kedeisha,
I am just going through my documents and I see this, the Right of Perm Residence fee.
I have paid this already. Funny they want to see a receipt as this has been included with the
immigration application.
Anyway I will do as you advise.

I am curious to know... when the application for permanent residence was received at the visa office?

Our application was received in Sao Paulo June 28th.
Processing began August 12th.
I noticed the ecas update around the 18th I believe.
Perhaps we landed upon a very efficient case worker!

My goodness, I do hope you are right!!!!
We are sending our application to CPC-M tomorrow, and our visa office is Sao Paulo, I hope we have the same efficient worker!

Good luck and let us know what happens!

Shiftpro..it looks like you are nearing the end of the road :) Almost there! And, yes, Sao Paulo is getting alot speedier in their processing! The request for RPRF is a standard form I think - they requested it from us even though they already had it long before.

Wow congrats shiftpro! This is fantastic news!!!! Even better considering ours is going through Sao Paulo too!!! Wow, what a great fantastic news!!!

Well in a funny I see this as possible if you count in cosmic karma. We has so much drama and bad luck and pain
and expense in Brazil with getting ripped off with the house I rented, the local forum took nearly three months to marry us,
the Fed cop who issued our police check did it wrong and we had to return to face Salvador, anyway it goes on and on there is
more believe me. Anyone who knows how Brazil operates can relate lol!
I almost backed out of the marriage thinking that when EVERYTHING goes bad maybe I'm on the wrong road you know.
But then the better of me decided to think that this was all a small price to pay to be joined with such a wonderful woman.
This is actually the truth here my friend make no doubt about it.
