Hi all,

I have an Indian passport living in the US. I applied for FSW EE in Nov (16 Nov e-APR) and now in IP2. I received a full time job in Montreal, and my company processed W-1 (work permit) for Canada.

My goal is to obtain PR and become a Canadian citizen in the near future.

Could you please help me with the following:
1) Can I move to Canada (Montreal) and still be in process with FSW EE?
2) Do you recommend I wait for PPR and completing the formalities by landing in Ontario? (I didn't mention Quebec as potential immigration region)

I'm really confused and couldn't find information on the web easily on this. May be I'm not looking at the right place. Can anyone share similar experience and recommended strategy for my situation?

Thank you in advance

Carry on with your Federal EE. Quebec has got it's own set of rules for PR which are slow and will frustrate you to the extent of breakdown. Migrants here wait for the next opportunity to move out. Hordes of them move out every year.

@Immstu , is there a way a person can move to quebec after getting PR under FSW EE?? I am in the same boat, have CoPR in hand and got an offer from Quebec. I am trying to find out a legal way in which I can work and stay in quebec after immigrating to Canada even though I applied under FSW.

@nubEie I think there are tons of responses already in this forum for your question. But my situation is different since I already have a job but live in the US with FSW EE application already in process.
