Receive ITA when WES still in progress?

Hello everyone. I just received my PhD and am in process of WES certification. I'm wondering if I can claim points for my PhD and get ITA while WES is still in progress? Thank you very much!

No, as you will need the Wes certificate number when creating your ee account. You have to wait until you have that before you can claim points for your ECA.

Well, ideally you should not but I did that...

You get the WES reference number as soon as you create the online account...its the same number which is there on the reports...so if you are sure that you are going to get the report on time then you can take the chance...

FYI...I already have my PR so it worked for me...

Did you get your ITA before or after receiving the ECA from WES?

I got my ITA after receiving the report....but I never went in and changed the WES received date...I just put a random approximate date when I created the profile....may be VO ignored it or I got lucky...not sure....

So it may work if I receive report before ITA but not after? Because with my score I think I'll immediately get ITA so that means I probably should wait for my WES certification to finish?

If you'd received the ITA before the report, they would have likely rejected your application and charged you with misrepresentation. You got lucky there.

That explains it then. You didn't get lucky at all, you followed the rules.

May i please ask? how many days does it take to get your eca results, I know it is usually 20 business day, but I want to know if anyone here get shorter day than that. TIA.

He didn't "follow the rules" at all. He presumably got an ITA based on his assertion that he had an ECA. Since he didn't and subsequently lied about the issue date, he broke the rules. He's right about the fact that he got lucky.
