Hi guys,

Today I got an email from CIC saying that they received my application for permanent resident card.

But I landed at the boundary on Nov 12, 2017 and it has been 6 weeks and I was expecting my PR Card coming within 2 weeks. So I am so shock and confused when I saw the email today.

Anyone else has the same experience? Or anyone else got this kind of email before?

Thank you for answering!

They said they just got my application today. So weird. 2 of my friends who landed with me at the same day didn't get this email. And lots of friends I knew got their PR card vis mail without any notice or email. Why this happens to me?

1. Because you landed at a very small border port that doesn't process many Immigrants. So they probably waited until they had a number of COPRs to mail in.
2. The initial PR card processing time is 61 days plus mailing time http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp
