Reasons why CIc returned application?

Gys what are the common mistakes why CIC send the application? are they strict in personal history GAPS?

Don't leave any gaps, it says so right on the instructions. If you have left gaps they could return the application or, more commonly it seems, request a new version of that form with no gaps, which will delay your application.

so if the application is not yet opened by CIC and I want to add more documents is it possible to send them the form As soon as possible before they open it with letter and without UCI nor file number?

Id say probably the most common reasons is that a signature is missing or a document is missing

Submitting missing docs after the fact doesnt always work. If ur lucky, rather than return an app, they could be nice and just simply ask u to resend a doc

Well if you've already sent it, you just have to wait. If you are lucky, they might overlook the issue. If not you will probably get a request. It's generally not a good idea to send documents until they request them, unless you had a reason (like waiting on a police certificate).

Say 'Employed at blah blah' 01/2010 - 10/2010 and then 'studyling at blah blah' 11/2010 - 03/2011 wouldn't be seen as a gap right? Finishing something in October and then starting another activity in November.

me I have gaps coz I did not include the semester break when I was in University thats why I am very worried. but I did not see any appkicants who have returned back their application CIC just ask for that through email. stay positive

That should be fine, I know people have had requests when they leave out months of time.
