Hi everybody:

Does anyone know possible reasons for Vegreville to transfer my husband's application to Edmonton? Is there anything we can do about this, he has not received AIP yet and we need him to work... or are we just in trouble for the next 18-24 months?

Thank you.

Yes, this is one of the downsides of applying inland. It might go faster than 18-24 months, that is they might tell you a longer time to get you off their backs. One woman on here was told 2 years in a similar situation but ended up being a year although she was not in Edmonton that I recall.

Your other option would be to withdraw your inland and apply again outland but you need to find out why you did not get first stage approval so you can fix that. Immigration must have had some doubts about your application causing them to require an interview to clear those doubts. You should order your FOSS notes to find out what they have written about you in their computer system. Then you will know.

The OP requires the FOSS notes, not CAIPS it was an "in-Canada" application.
