You must show about CAD 1000 per week of visit (unofficial rule of thumb). No large deposits in your bank account.... and the funds must match your earnings.

Oh wow!!! I had no idea. In that case I didn't show anything close to that. I just stated I would have $500 to spend for two weeks because I was gonna have accommodation and food from the hosts. I had no plans to go shopping like I would in the USA. I thought that wasn't a big deal since I showed that I was employed using a job letter and payslip and the host sent their financial proof and stated that they were gonna assist with airfare. However one major mistake was that my payslip shows loan payment deductions. Also, I maybe should have used my other bank accounts as well. I didn't show every single savings. I just used one. I was really underestimating their decision.
Why has your dad's company offered to assist with the airfare? Did they provide a letter to say so? Are they inviting you - Invitation Letter? You must explain about the offer to pay for the airfare in the cover letter.
**** My dad is actually a migrant worker and has been working with them for over 20 yrs. We communicate a lot through letters and telephone and social media now. I just wanted to visit them for my vacation this year. They were willing to assist because we have grown like one family. The letter did say all of this, us knowing each other but have not met and that they were going to sponsor some of the airfare.
You must also demonstrate strong ties to your home country (employment, family, other responsibilities, etc).
*** Well all I have is my parents and siblings an a job :-[
