Are there chances of success?
It depends if you meet the current criteria to apply.

Hello,
I'm currently under therapy and may be extending my stay in my home country for a couple of months. Is there a possibility of extending my Travel Document under humanitarian grounds?
Thanks,
Heidi

Hi,

Good Day !!

Generally PR is given for 5 years in which if you stay for four years in Canada you can apply for a Citizenship, after getting an citizenship you can move out of country in respective of your stay. In your case as you have mentioned about immigrant status if a person could not met the criteria to apply for a citizenship at least you have to stay 2 years out of 5 years which is not at a stretch to apply for a extension. But still if you have not met the criteria for extension it depend on the reason & justification which depends on the discretion on the case officer about the decision.

Thank you. Can I show you my plea for the Canadian government so as to guide me if it will be alright for me to submit it?
