Really need some help here

Hello everyone,

I got a problem with my passport and visa issue. I just changed my old passport to a new as there is no blank pages in my old one. I did this within Canada. As a result, there is no any visa, stamps or markings in my new passport now. I am now applying the work permit, and here is the problem. The CIC requires a photocopy of the first page of my passport and any pages with stamps or markings or visas for my passport, which I do not have in my new passport. I got valid visa and other documents for my old passport, but nothing for this new one. So what should I do? I plan to write an explanation letter to CIC to address this problem, do you guys think this will work?

Add first and last page of the new passport and old passport and also all valid visa copies enclosing the letter explaining about it
