Hi all
I put up my profile and application and only got 433 points with 14 months of a gap in work history. I was unemployed during that time but I did do some random jobs for a few months, in the same field of my noc. Can I use those as work history if I can ask those people to gove me experience letters?? As this could help me reduce the unemployed gap and maybe gain more points, As the cut off over the past few weeks have been 440ish.
Also, my applicatiin is along with spouse where our my wife's ielts is L:7, R:8,W:6.5,S:8.5 and mine is L:8.5,R:8, W:7, S:8.
Will adding work experiences after I have already submitted the application affect the integrity of my application.

What do I do.

Yes you can claim points for even 1 week toward 3 years maximum if that is NOC type 0, A or B and you have at least 1 year continuous foreign work experience in your primary noc. You can have multiple NOCs as long as you meet primary noc criteria.

And also creating an Express Entry profile is not submitting application. Only after ITA if you submit an application for permanent residence then this will count as your application. You can amend your EE profile as many times as you want before you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Hope it helps. Good Luck!

Okay. Understood. Thing is I am not aware of the 3 year thing. Now my experiences in majority chunk as a continuation are towards the start of my career. And in the past 5 years, thats where the gap of 14 months is. Apart from that, over the past five years, along with the 14 months gap I also have changed the my line of work for the past year and half.

If you already claimed 3 yrs of experience, adding more experience will not change points.
If 3 years is not claimed for score yet, adding experience to match that may increase your points. But it need to be in same job code and need to have all proofs as well.
Or else increasing score in IELTS is the only way. Increase Writing to 7.5 or 8 would work out.
Not Correct! It does not need to be same NOC code to claim 3 years experience. You can claim multiple NOC work experience as long as they all are NOC 0, A or B type and you have minimum 1 year continuous work experience in your primary NOC.

It need to be same NOC if you are claiming 1 year points for your primary noc. In that case you must not have any gap between two jobs.

Here's how my work history is breaking down:
Oct 2008 - February 2009 - cook
Mar 2009 - April 2010 - cook
May 2010 - April 2011 - cook intern
Dec 2011 - Jul 2013 - cook
Aug 2013 - Oct 2014 - gap
Nov 2014 - July 2015 - cook
Aug 2015 - mar 2017 - cook
Mar 2017 - current - sales

Apart from This the crs score on language proficiency for me is 125 and spouse is 16. Even if my wife were to give ielts, I'm not sure she will score better.

How many CRS points did you get for your work experience in EE profile?
