I wanted to check with you about how life in Regina is? We were thinking of less popular cities like that to settle in :). It would be great if you can share your exp in Regina as it would help us choose our city.
Regina is small city and I have very limited exposure, with about 200K people and a university. Colder than Toronto but is a coming up city. I see lot of jobs in my field up there. There is lot of construction going on everywhere in Regina. One of the forum members "rubyalabar" lives in Regina, you may want to contacther for more info

We have a friend in Vancouver and he is asking us to land there, so he can help with our initial days. My cousin is in Toronto, and so we have that option too. Confused as to where to land :-\ :-\
You choice of city should depend on your support system for initial days and also your job prospects. I think you guys should do some research before deciding yuour city but Toronto is not a bad option

Thanks Ankit :). I'll scan through..

Hi Jnatahn
I started the job 2 weeks back now. It is very challenging here. Any new job is challenging any ways but when environment is different than your home country and any where else that you have worked for it is even worse.

I must say it is very interesting job, there is lot to learn but it will take time before I can say that I am settled and enjoying till then I am working hard to keep afloat :)

How is your application processing.

Just to let you know there is another forum member Meena, she called me yesterday and informed that she too got 2 job offers last week. i hope the news encourages all in IT field. There is another person Balaji who is very close to getting an offer in my opinion and at least he is getting lot of calls

Ankit !

thanks for the reply. I will get back and reply to your message in 6-8 hours.

Hi Ankit_20,

I am also a project manager, however, working in a very small company with projects which are not of the same magnitude as we often see in MNCs like HP, IBM, Dell, etc. Can you please advise me on my chances of getting a fulltime job as a PM or even project coordinator and where should I head first, toronto or any other place. Your help is very very much needed.

Thanks

Chances of finding the job has many variables, so you would have to do some research. But I can tell you market is good and there enough jobs for Project management (manager, coordinator, analst etc). If you have right skill, right certification, you will find the job

In my opinion biggest job market is in Toronto
