Re: using Form IMM 5406 Representative

Hello all, I’m the Sponsor but helping out my common law partner for filling out his application form. Should I submit form IMM 5406 acting his representative? We are currently living as common law partner for the last 14 months now and were ready to submit the application. Also I want to mention to hat I am submitting a cover letter stating how our relationship started and how it progressed. And at the end asking them to grant us to be together permanently. Please clarify and help! Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am also the sponsor and I filled out all of the forms. I didn’t fill out the respresentative form because I want correspondence to go to my spouse, however I did clarify in the cover letter that all letters addressing any concerns in the application were written by me.

Thank you. Yes I read it further and this apply for those who sponsoring their family outside Canada and if they want all the correspondence send directly to the sponsor.
