Re-submission of already submitted forms

Hi Guys,

My confusion regarding spouse sponsorship application is that I submitted the application here in canada along with all the documents required to be submitted by sponsor and the person to be sponsored (my wife) in Oct. 2010. After a month or so, I received a letter that my case was approved and forwarded to Canadian High Commission Islamabad, Pakistan (my wife is in Pakistan). Now my wife has received a letter saying to submit all the forms and docs which I already submitted with the application within next 45 days. Its kind of difficult to arrange all the docs such as tax assessments, employer letter etc. to submit them again.

Secondly after a week of receipt of that letter another letter was sent (to my wife) saying to proceed to Medical tests.

What I want to know is that "is it a requirement to submit the docs again which are already submitted??? while according to my knowledge Medical tests letter is issued only if your case is approved so do I still need to submit all the docs again??? Your help will be appreciated.

Islamabad typically requests re-submission of documents because they take so long to process. Follow the list received, put the documents together, and don't forget to have her update the information on things like her background schedule (if there was any change in address, work history etc). You MUST submit all the documents requested in order for them to continue processing.

Hi again,

I am in a process of sponsoring my wife from Pakistan. I submitted the application in October 2010. After a long process my wife received a letter from CHC Islamabad on March 12, 2012 saying "your visa(s) appear to be ready for issuance but before we can issue visa please submit the following information". The info such as present mailing address, applicant birth date, height, weight and latest photos etc. were requested. Furthermore there were instructions for efficient return of passport and the original docs. The required info was submitted on March 20, 2012. Since then CHC has not requested submission of passport. Can anybody tell me how much further time will they take to issue the visa??? Please note that my wife hasn't been interviewed throughout the process time.
