re Siblings in Additional Family Members

Dear seniors,

I am March 2013 applicant and newly joined this forum. I have been going through the forum and have come across queries related to siblings.I have not mentioned siblings (deceased) in additional family info form. Kindly suggest if this is going to be a problem, if yes can I correct it at this time?

Are you referring to form IMM 5406? If so, there is Section C, specifically for various types of sibling.
I would list them all, even if deceased. Where they are deceased, I personally would enter "Deceased" followed by where and when under the "Present address" column. The form doesn't state that you only need to include them if they are still living. In many of the forms it states "Present address (if deceased give city and date)". It is far better to anticipate and provide information than end up having to do it later on, delaying the application.

Yes the form and section you have mentioned is correct. My sister passed away in India in 1996 and my question at this point in time is whether it will create any issue during background check and is it possible to include this information now. I came to know about it only after going through this forum.

I would send a "Case Specific Enquiry" to the visa office to ask if they want the information.
They may say not to worry about it but background/security checks might identify her and then they might ask "why didn't she get listed". Who can say...
