Could someone please advise me on the following?

Would i go under a restoration period if one out of the two work permit applications' rejected? or NO since i have the other one still under process?
Let me brief you all, i had applied for a closed WP with the help of PNP support letter on Dec. 30/2014 and when saw nothing coming in then i applied another work permit on March 10/2015 which is the remainder of my PGWP. My current Wp expired on March 15/2015.
i am worried what would happen with regards to my work permit application.

Please advise!

If the status in CIC account is already approved. You can try flag-polling to get the new work permit.
You need to bring
-Signed job offer
-PNP nomination certificate
-IMM5802
-Receipt of IMM5802
-Work Permit Support Letter.

Did you call CIC and inquire about the status of your first work permit application and is there a reason you believe that your WP application would be rejected?

Its a matter of time that you will receive your new WP.

The number for CIC is 1888-242-2100.

can i ask a question bro....i got my open wp rejection last week because of restriction on pnp support letter.i have to restore my status in 90 days. I need suggestion if i bring all documents above mentioned to the border , I ll get closed wp.i heard we have to leave country and come back . do u know what usa border ask u why u are here???

Thanks Astasi for your information. CIC says my work permit has gone to Etobicoke for further reviews.
No definitive reason to refuse per my knowledge. i just left this thing on the Supreme Power. I will see what happens next.

What If your employer said that I can't fill your compliance form. And your file is in cic under Province nominee program, waiting for file number and at the same time your work permit going to expire soon in one month then? Then how to get new work permit?

Its very confusing.

Please reply on this someone because most of people going to face same situation soon. who are nominated by provinces but after nomination while waiting for file number there employer said No to new employer compliance form.

The alternative is to apply for a "bridging open work permit" - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp

However, see the eligibility parameters, in particular:
they have received a positive eligibility assessment on their permanent residence application under one of the Economic Class programs...

Note: Foreign nationals in the Provincial Nominee Program are eligible if they have provided a copy of the nomination letter issued by the nominating province or territory with their application and there is no indication that employment restrictions exist as conditions of the nomination.

Which means:
1. you should have the AoR. See further under - Determining if a positive eligibility decision has been made
....For PNP applications, the status of the Eligibility EC-QC/PNP activity has been set to “Passed” or the Acknowledgment of Receipt letter or e-mail has been sent by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO).

2. And your nomination letter does not show any employment restrictions - check your nomination letter to see if anything is specified there.

Now, if this is what you meant by "waiting for file number":
1. Your PR application has been submitted to CIO-S
2. You have not received an AoR yet from CIO-S
Then if you can still wait for the AoR, as soon as you get it and if you satisfy the conditions above, then apply for a BOWP. You will need to pay an added $100 now for this (on top of the WP fee of $155), but you are not dependent on the employer compliance form and payment of the fee ($230).

Unfortunately, there will be others who cannot wait for the AoR as simply there is not enough time till their WP expires. The other alternatives are (as observed):

1. get an LMIA and apply for an extension of the WP using the LMIA - but if your employer does not want to provide the employer compliance form and pay the fee, they may not also be amenable in getting an LMIA.

2. Take chances/risks of bringing your nomination letter and apply for a WP at the border. There has been posts of successfully getting an WP/OWP recently at the border - it is up to CBSA to determine if you can be granted one; nevertheless, you have an opportunity to explain your circumstances to the officer to futher your application.

So the answer to my question is: NO, i would not go under a restoration period if i have at least one of two applications under process. Thought it might be useful for others to gain this information.
