Hello,
I and my wife both applied for the visitor visa. We applied online and we got message that we need to send our passports for the next step process. My question is...Should I send both passport in the same envelop with return envelop inside? or I have to send separate? Can I use FedEx or I have to use USPS as mentioned on..... cic.gc.ca?
I applied from USA and I have to send passport to NY.
Please clarify me on this.

Use USPS. Yes you can send both passports in one USPS Express Mail with just one self addressed USPS envelope.
Can you please share your timeline.
when did you apply online and when did you get the request for passports.
Did you have to go for biometrics.

I applied online on March 25th and after 12 days I got this request. Is it safe to send passport by USPS? I mean I use to use FedEx as lots of people recommend? I don't have any issue to send by USPS as long as it is more safe and secure.
As of now CIC did not mentioned that We have to go for biometrics.

It is safe and secure to use USPS Express Mail. Plus it is next day delivery.
As you got your passport request, you will not be required to go for biometrics.

Yes. I think now a days it's very easy process. Some of my friends applied but they mailed documents and it took long. Are you planning for visitor visa or what?

It depends on how soon the consulate puts the stamp on your passport. After they receive your passport it could be more than a week before they send it back.
Yes applied for visitor visa last week of February still waiting for passport.
My husband applied same day. No update on his application yet. more than 40 days now and counting
