Hi Everyone,

I am a US H1B holder, I became landed immigrant in April 2008, but came back to US and kept on working and never went back to Canada. Now I am deciding to move permanently to Canada end of February, 2011.

I would like to know am I still eligible to bring my Household Items from the list that I had submitted to immigration while taking landing in Windsor through Road. Can somebody please let me know or guide me to an expert as this question is worring me. I am not sure about the time span we get to bring our personal stuff duty free to Canada.

Kindly let me know and your advice would be highly appreciated.

You can only bring the goods on the original list when you "landed" additional goods acquired will probably attract duty and taxes. There is no time limit for settler effects.

Thank you very much. I only wanted to know if they have any restriction of time frame on the items mentioned on the "List" that got stamped while taking landing. I would also like to know if the same applies to the "Cars" that I was supposed to take with me to Canada. Kindly let me know.
