Re-issue of Expired COPR & Visa

Got a response to the webform that everything appears to be in order in the application and they will get back etc etc.

My query was if they need any further process from me in support of the application.

They hardly read all the messages we write. Back in March, I raised webform regarding medical and they replied ` Your request for the extension of the validity of your COPR was received by the responsible office`…haha .

Last week, I raised webform with almost the same query. Hopefully I will get the same reply as yours in 2 weeks’ time.

Im guessing getting the re-medicals done will be the next step.

Thankyou Yeah let’s see how things move forward though. We submitted our initial PR application in the month of March,2019.

That's good news. Was the update as a response to a webform?

I don't think it was a response to the webform requests we sent across, we sent our VO (Ottawa) a request again two days ago. We got an email today update saying we have made changes to your application number, Kindly open it to review it. It can be a coincidence or they would have seen our webform requests and opened our application, not too sure actually. Once we opened it, the application status update is " we are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you". From 'document expired' it changed to
'submitted'.
And everything below is mentioned reviewing eligibility, reviewing background check. Our expiry date is blank now and the biometrics as well. Let's see what the next step is, I've heard its re-medicals after this.

Thankyou! But honestly I’ve seen it being a slow process from here aswell. So let’s hope things go well. It was issued in the month of May,2020.

It's great to see some movement for Post March COPRs.
I think it will be re-meds next too. Although I don't see how it's fair that they make everyone go through medicals again when the only reason they expired is because of their restrictions.
It will be interesting to find out.

They really need to give some leigh way with approved applicants at this point- people shouldn't be punished for their processing times- being requested new medicals etc, whilst people who are newly approved are just allowed to cross right now. It's a very indecent process if you ask me.

So far i have not received any emails from IRCC, except for one survey email on how Covid19 affects my plan to move to Canada hate waiting

our timelines are almost the same... I also havenot heard anything from IRCC. Please keep your updates posted here and will do the same as well.

CoPR expired Apr 8th 2021...it is locked down here so, if re med, I got so much problem..

it's really unfair like you said, this entire process if you'll ask me. We have to keep waiting for years, not months to get all these processed. The process is way too slow, getting the re-medicals done is also very expensive from here. We currently reside in the USA.
