no one can really say when PPR will come, there are plenty in the forum reported waiting for PPR, some of them did medicals late 2015 and early 2016.

got mr pcc and rprf mail on 25/05/2016 but there was a line (Please follow the instructions sent to you in a separate e-mail message.) in the mail in red letter. but I didn't get any second mail. the second latter should contain forms for MR. I got the needed mr forms from mycic website. now the question is should I go ahed with mr and rprf or should I wait. I allredy email them asking for second mail. And what about you guys. did you get the mail on same day? thanks in advannce.

In fact there is no benefit because they will look at you medical results and rprf only after passing of rest of the stages that as per their procedures are pre requisite to send medical request. Eligibility must be passed before medical request could be sent. Therefore i shall advise not to do medical before passing of eligibility.

I wish to travel to Canada to get myself stamped for my PR before first week of July. I need to know two things:

1) My choice of city in the application is Calgary. However I wish to land in Toronto. Can I do that??
2) I will be staying for a period of 5 days only in Toronto and return to India. I need to know if I should be carrying the minimum funds of $11,824 or if I can carry a smaller amount, for example maybe $5000.

Please help guys.

Thanks in advance

What is the status of your application ?

Our application status is the same for all.

Dear You can land in Toronto and it has nothing to do with what you wrote in your application. As far as the POF are concerned. you have to carry the full amount as it is mandatory. Sometimes they ask for it and sometimes not so why take the risk.

Many thanks for PR1. I have also linked successfully my FSW 2014 application to myCIC.

Below is the status:

Application: Open
Review of eligibility : Review in progress
Review of medicals: Passed
Review of submitted docs: blank
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
BG check : In progress
Final decision: Not started

Any advice on my application status?
Just want to have advice from experts that applying for GCMS would be of any advantage or more information available rather than the above status which I got while linking my application to MyCiC. Would appreciate experts feedback.

Dear seniors,

I have a question regarding getting a NEW PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD AFTER THE FIRST LANDING.

It is true that once we do the initial landing , the immigration officer applies for our New PR card at the airport itself.

So my question is that , how much time does it take to get the PR card delivered to our mailing address ? I mean for e.g. if I land tomorrow to Canada and the Processing time displayed on the CIC website on that day is 50 days ... So does this mean that like , around 50-60 days at maximum we will get our PR card in hand ? Or this can shoot up to 100 - 150 days as well ? Or it also depends upon the time we land ? Like someone was saying that in summers the processing for a NEW PR CARD is faster e.t.c. e.t.c. ... So what was the experience of the ppl who landed in the month of july ... was the processing quick ? Or in winters it is quick ?

Seniors , please advice ... or anyone who has been through the same stage please help in this regard.

Hi All,

I have a question regarding TRANSIT VISA in UK.
I am Pakistani citizen, living in Singapore on employment pass. I am planning to do my landing in few weeks time for 10-15 days and return back to Singapore and then relocate to Canada later next year.

I am booking my tickets through BA and have a transit in UK two times i)While going to Canada and ii) while coming back to Singapore. Through the UK immigration website it seems that there is an exemption for UK transit visa if you have Valid Canadian Visa while going to Canada. but during my return to Singapore, i wont be having Canada PR card (although i will be having Singapore employment pass-work visa).

Do I need transit VISA for UK both times.
I checked with UK immigration, they said it depends on UK immigration officer.
also checked with BA, they said check with embassy, so I am bit confuse now.

Thanks
