We landed in Calgary in March. Actually filled the declaration form for goods we were bringing and immigration officer told us it was not needed only for goods to follow(Very important)

Regarding POF you can carry in USD but note that officer will convert with the day's exchange rate to CAD so make sure you have the extra buffer.

**The economy condition in Calgary is so bad, we regret landing here*** Ontario region is much better in terms of job prospect

Hello friends. Its been a long time since i have posted here. Went through a lot of issues and with gods grace finally got my PPR & Visa's stamped and am landing in April. Is anybody else travelling around that time? If yes Please pm me. Also for those who have already landed can someone guide on the declaration part. This is regarding the goods accompanying and goods to follow. How to work this out and also what about gold jewelry? Requesting anyone with exp on this to please advise. Thanks

Hello thanks for the reply. I am sure things will improve soon.

So we do not need to carry any info on what we are carrying while landing right? Only the future list is important???

Dear tobesky86,

Are you going to work in the same job 0113 I mean purchasing manager. And what are the prospects of this field to get job in Canada?

Thanks correct only future goods.
We took pictures of all the jewelleries and filled the form but they just discarded it and said as long as you bring with you via the same flight you dont need it.

Hi,
I plan to work in this field but it has been very difficult getting a job here in Alberta.
Also to be a supply chain professional you need to have the required Canadian certification called the Supply Chain Management Professional Certification. I do advise you start making enquiries about it. Not saying you won't find a job but usually in the junior field.

Cheers

Dear All..

Query:

I have made a short landing for 2 weeks with my family with 2 kids in Jan 2016. Now that my wife is pregnant what is the procedure to include the name of the new born in my PR status. Please advise

Hi, your best bet will be to have the baby in Canada where he/she automatically becomes a citizen and there's no need to add to any application. All the best.

Hello All,
I am also Sept 2014 applicant and my file was transferred to Warsaw in april 2015. They did phone employment verification and demanded for more documents. I submitted all documents in jan first week and since then i haven't heard from them.

Now its been a long time and everyday i am hopeful that something positive will happen but no word from them.

Is anybody else is same boat?

Hi all,
I'd like to seek your advise on my current situation. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and my expected due date is in Sept.

As for my condition, my husband and I have thought about several options:
Options 1: Landed in mid-May. Register MSP. By beginning August, my baby and I are covered by MSP?
Options 2: Short landing in May. Return to Canada in January 2017 after the childbirth.

Other options for the prenatal care and reference on the facilities that I can consider for childbirth?

Would appreciate if you could share your point of view (pro-con).

Thanks all

If your baby is born outside Canada, it will need to be sponsored for a Canadian PR. You do not want to be in that situation.
The only sensible option is to have the baby in Canada.

2 cases:
Baby is born in Canada: Baby automatically becomes a Canadian citizen (Citizenship by birth).
Baby is born outside Canada: There is not such thing like adding or including your baby to your PR status. You will need to start a new application for your baby and sponsor his/her PR. You will also need to first prove that you could be a sponsor, which means proving that you have steady source of income, financial security blah blah blah. This route can take a while, may be a year or more.

Does it mean that if she has her baby outside Canada, when she chooses to return into Canada she cannot take her baby with her?
