I am planning to do my landing in the month of April, I am in search of a financial institute for my travelers cheque and cash needs. Could you please suggest a good one for this...

I have been to HDFC, however as i am not holding an account with this bank they denied to provide travelers cheque. I am thinking to get in contact with ICICI, thomas cook and SBI. Please let me know whether these 3 are worth finding out and which one would be the ideal option to go with.

That't what most people did (myself included). I have no experience with traveler' cheques, sorry.

Is it possible that my relative/friends who will receive my PR card after first landing post it again using a courier service outside Canada to me?. We currently reside in Europe and plan to perform our landing in the upcoming couple of months but we will come back after landing.

Friends need some advice / suggestion.

I am planning to settle in vancouver in April 2016 from Karachi, Pakistan. I am looking for flight option. The problem is I don't have a US visa for transit and we were told in our orientation session for new immigrants - that if we land in toronto then our journey from Toronto to Vancouver would be local travel and thereby we will not be allowed to carry more than 1 bag or have to pay for extra baggage.

Moreover, I understand my landing formalities will be done at Toronto. Is it ok to give Vancouver address for PR Card during landing procedure.

Has anyone experience this or would suggest best option. Thanks

Hi forumites.
Having received the 7th line update, that the MR was received by CVO, when I got a new mail from CVO today, I was very optimistic. I thought it was a PPR, as my original MR was sent by CVO on 28th Aug 2015 (I had completed my meds and my wife's Meds, except chest XRay - we had our baby in Nov, and then finally all meds were completed and 7th line was updated on 21st Jan).

But unfortuneately I have been asked again the following:
Please note that you and your spouse are required to complete question 8 (Personal History) and question 12 (Address History) of schedule A (IMM5669) form since 18th birthday todate without leaving any gaps. This must be received at this office by : 03/02/2016

I had been asked for the same back in August by CVO, and on 14th Sep I had sent them the updated IMM5669 on 14th Sep 2015 alongwith the MR sheet etc... No idea why they are asking for it again.
