They will not issue a visa valid for less than three months. The upper limit is usuallt one year from IME date, BUT not in all cases. They issue 6month IM-1 visas quite often.

Thanks. I've already spoken to the VFS staff over the helpline and online chat. I'll go over to the office personally and talk to the manager there. Will come back with the updates. I'm hoping this works out. What gets me worried is that London said that Delhi cannot process the passports. So it seems that VFS is helpless in this case.

This is the exact text of the email from London - "Applicants residing in India are required to submit their passports to the VAC in London. Please note, the India office will be unable to accept your passports for processing. Please ensure you submit your information to London within the timeframe provided."

One applicant from Ottawa recently submitted pp for stamping at one of India's VACs and was not even asked a question. It is a good idea to appear in person and ask the manager to call NDVO if they have any doubts. Customer service is not trained to address PR stuff.

i also receive same instruction & i also send clarification from idp to cvo Colombo but now 10 days passed on they not gave me any reply i am confused about in855 because idp says they have only single center code for all India that is in855 so that means if they want to see another center code on our TRF that we can get from another country if anybody get reply from cvo regarding this please let me advise.

Hi if you have done it with idp before ,then go for British Council this time
I am sure it will have different code
When did you receive this request??

Alhamdulillah! Received PPR today.

Need expert suggestion.

1. We are expecting our second child in April. Now if I get my visa stamped, how much time VO might take to process the new family member ? I need to plan my landing accordingly.
2. How long they might take to stamp the VISA ? I've an offical trip on March'16, so will have to have the passport on hand by beginning of March. What do you think, will I get my passport back by then ?

Thanks Diplomatru!

Does that mean the London High Commission does not play a role in this process? Can I just submit it at a VFS office in India and expect it to get stamped at Delhi anyway? Let me visit them and then come back to the forum with updates.

Hello friends
I am following this forum from last year. I need advise from experts.
I made my application in Dec 2014. Received PER in April. In June 2015 I got redundancy from workplace.till now I am looking for job. I informed the visa officer about my redundancy. Couple of months ago organisation closed where I used to work. What shall I do now? Shall I inform visa officer about closure of business. Work website is removed and boss official I'd is not working as well coz it was linked to the website.

My visa office is LVO

Thanks

SAD news

RECESSION IS THERE IN CANADA.-- layoff, salary cut , all is happening there in Canada.

My gcms notes arrived early this morning.

It reflects file status of 23rd Dec, 2015.

File Location: Registry

That means no case officer was assigned to my file as of 23rd Dec, 2015.

My app submission date Dec 2014. So even after one year of application, my file is accumulating dust!

Long live SGVO!

I would say, staying close to or with your acquaintances initially would be good. Regarding funds, you will be provided with declaration form in your flight which you need to present to CBSA at the POE i.e Toronto in your case. There is no higher limit , you can carry as much as you can provided its from your genuine sources .
