I got the following reply from visa office
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the
Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New
Delhi.
If you or a family member have modified personal information
after the issuance of a visa, including if you have obtained
a new passport, you must request that a new visa and
Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) be issued. This
includes if you have married or have a newborn child who was
not included on your application at visa issuance.
If you do not request to include your spouse or child(ren)
on your application BEFORE you land in Canada, you WILL NOT
be able to sponsor them to Canada in the future. The newly
added family member must meet the requirements and undergo
medical and background examinations EVEN IF they are not
accompanying the principal applicant to Canada.
Do not attempt to travel on your visa and COPR until the
modifications have been made or you may not be permitted
entry at the Port of Entry in Canada.
You are required to submit:
- any documentary evidence of the modification;
- the original passports with visas for yourself (and all
dependants);
- the Confirmation of Permanent Residence forms for yourself
(and dependants);
- an updated or new passport with the new information for
those people with modified information; and
- There is a processing fee associated with this service,
please see the CIC website for fees and payment
instructions
- Passport size photographs for yourself and each dependant
Please note that you are required to submit the following
documents in order to add your child to your application:
- a letter explaining how your family composition has
changed and requesting that your child be added to your
application
- processing fee for the child (if accompanying you to
Canada)
- updated IMM0008 Generic Application Form for
yourself with inclusion of child to be added
- updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form
for yourself and your spouse to include added child
- notarized copy of the child’s birth certificate
- copy of your child’s valid passport(s) [both valid and
expired]
- four recent passport-size photographs of your child
according to the specifications
- As you have applied in an Economic Class category,
you must also take into account that the amount of money
that you need to have to support your family is determined
by the size of your family and the cost of living in Canada.
Therefore, as your family size has increased, you must
increase the amount of settlement funds required to
immigrate to Canada. For more information go to: cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp.
Copies of the original documents with original certified
translations into English or French are required.
The required forms can be downloaded at: cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/index.asp.
Passport-sized photographs must meet these specifications:
cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs.asp.
Information about the fees that must be paid can be found
here: cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp.
(Please note that this fees must be paid online at the CIC
website and a copy of the fee receipt should be submitted to
this office. Credit Card payment forms are NOT
accepted in this office.)
Your child will need to undergo a medical examination. We
will send you the appropriate form and instructions after
receiving the documents listed above.
- If you do not request to include your
child(ren) on your application, you WILL NOT be able to
sponsor them to Canada in the future. The newly added family
member must meet the requirements and undergo medical and
background examinations EVEN IF they are not accompanying
the principal applicant to Canada.
Important: Note that if your child was born in Canada, then
the child is a Canadian citizen. If that is the case, you do
not need to add the child to your application, and no
medical examination or fee is required. You must, however,
send us a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
Our office generally requires one week to process requests
for visa re-issuance. However, if you are adding an
additional family member then the processing time will take
longer as the added family member will need to be examined
and meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Can you please help me in understanding whether it is relevant to the query which i raised to visa office.
Can i treat this mail as a confirmation for re-issuance of visa after my delivery?
Can i treat this mail and can wait to do my first landing after my delivery and after adding new born to my application?
