Hey guys,

A quick question. I need to pay 150 CAD to add my newborn to my application. Is it possible to pay the fee online? If not, what form should I use?

Please let me know. Thanks!

I actually tried, but I could not find an option for "federal skilled workers"? There is one option for "express entry-applicants". Or should I use that option?

I received following reply from VO in response of my CSE.

Your application has been reviewed by the Immigration Officer who has determined that additional documents are required for review. Please note below the list of documents required and submit these within 15 days of the date of this email.

(1) National tax numbers for your current and previous employer.
(2) Payslips and/or bank account statements showing salary deposits from X Employers and Y Employer.
(3) Personal income tax slips/forms.
(4) Any other documents/ information which you would like to be considered in support of your application.

We look forward to receiving the required documents within 15 days.

Is it some bad indication?

I do not have any tax number. Salary shown on my bank statement is not taxable in my country.kindly tell how to satisfy VO regarding National Tax Number. which National Tax Number he is asking for?

what is Personal income tax sip/form?

thnx

Hi, simply get a letter from your employer or Human resources which states that your salary is not taxable. While I doubt that any salary is exempt from tax, you can use the letter to state your position. Otherwise, you better request your tax number and pay slip from your HR.

When visa officer gives time frame and particularly short time frame of 15 days then what does it indicate?

Honestly not a good sign, as Visa officer has concerns over the earlier submitted documentation. Unless you have documents ready, it is very difficult to submit documents with such a short duration. Have faith and submit the documentation at the earliest.

No issues. If the IO/BSA feels that, the COPR is not in good shape, they will print a new one in port of entry during the Landing. It happens even if COPR needs to be corrected significantly due to clerical errors. You can plan for your landing. All the best !

Please refer following notes from link

http://ww w.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob545-mod.asp

In cases where a clerical error has been made, the IMM 5688E or IMM 5292B should be corrected to bring it into agreement with the bio data in the passport or travel document. The correction should be made on all copies of the CoPR by placing an asterisk beside the error and notating the correction in the remarks section. Any corrections made must also be reflected in the Field Operations Support System (FOSS) and/or the Global Case Management System (GCMS). Final responsibility for ensuring data integrity and legibility of the CoPR rests with the officers, including the reprinting of a replacement document from FOSS or GCMS when significant changes are required.

HY ALL:

Keeping in view the past examples in which applicants were asked for documents particularly documents like: ( salary slips and/or bank statements, tax returns, NTN number of employer) , what has been the decision in most cases?

thnx

Generally if you work for an UN organisation (i.e. UNDP. WHO, UNICEF, World Bank/IFC and similar), their tax is exempt by a declaration of a letter which is generally provided in every year near to fiscal year ending (i.e. around June) to the employees. Collect that if it is not given yet by your employer. HR department of your company is well aware about such scenario as employees need to submit return.

you suppose to have National Tax Number (= TIN) even if u r tax exempted because you need to show that you are providing "0" tax to government as your salary is tax exempted by submitting tax return form. U also have to have TIN/National Tax Number if your any past job have tax deductable salary earlier.

If you are not compliant about above mentioned point your case goes weak.

ONly way to get away with it is, showing them that company paid your tax as AIT but you did not submit the tax return file due to negligence of not having/making a TIN.

ASAP Talk with a tax/immigration lawyer , not consultant though.

Any doc request is raised when there is a confusion about certain thing of an applicant. If the submitted doc is satisfactory, applicants moves into next procedure like MR/PPR etc. If not, applicant gets rejected sometimes with ban.

Like the way every person is different, their cases too !

Though giving 15 days to reply is VERY unlikely and I never heard of earlier.

I wish you good luck.

Thanks

Good luck !
