Canada's entry requirements are changing

Starting March 15, 2016, if you are a permanent resident of Canada and a citizen of a visa-exempt country, you will need to travel with your Canadian permanent resident (PR) card or permanent resident travel document when flying to Canada. Otherwise, you may not be able to board your flight to Canada. Permanent residents who are citizens of visa-required countries will continue to need to show their PR card when boarding a flight to Canada.

If you are in Canada and do not currently have a permanent resident card, find out how to apply for a permanent resident card.

If you are outside Canada and do not have a PR card or your card is expired, find out how to apply for a permanent resident travel document.

yes. Similar to that statement. But in my case, i got an email containg PPR august 17,2015 however my status in ecas was changed from IN PROCESS TO DECISION MADE just yesterday september 5,2015. Ecas is not that updated so i think we really should rely primarily on the communications sent by VO /cic in our emails. But of course theres nothing wrong on checking our ecas updates at times. You should check ur email for letters sent to u maybe containing ppr or some additional instructions wer provided there.g

got my visa today. Today I went to Canadian embassy and asked about my visa status the guy at security called visa officer then replied to me u will get it next week for sure. But when I was returning from embassy one Canadian embassy officer came to me and asked about the problem and advised to drop the e mail again. At 11 am I dropped e mail with no hopes but at 3:30 recieved reply from embassy to collect ur passport from VFS today. So I quickly rushed to VFS the guy at delivery counter was busy in passport sorting and sending msgs to passport holders. I recived sms from VFS after collecting my passport.

I don't know visa stamping after my visit or it was just my turn. But anyways I got it finally.

I received medical on 30th July but RPRF mail yet. I am done with my medical on 3rd august. My ECAS is showing "we sent you medical request on 30th July, please provide requested document ASAP". I am assuming RPRF mail was sent but didn't reach my inbox/spam.

Raised a cse twice but no reply.

Please suggest what should I do.

Received the below from VO :

Please note that you and your spouse are required to complete question 8 (Personal History) and 12 (Address History) of schedule A (IMM5669) form since 18th birthday to date without leaving any gaps. This must be received at this office by : 09/28/2015

I received MR & requests for other documents ( PCC etc) and have been asked to fill up Schedule A of form IMM 5669 , points 8 and points 12 AGAIN.
Now , I realized that the addresses I had used for point 8 and point 12 are different .. the reason is - I thought point 8 (Personal History) needs details or work location and point 12(Addresses) only the addresses you have lived.... as a result my point 8 and point12 showed up different addresses.
Do you think this is the reason why they have asked me to resend the IMM 5669 updating points 8 & 12 ?

Any help is highly appreciated as I have to send the documents updated asap.

Finally I got my passport back with the visa stamped and also the copr document. The real long wait is over now. Now the anxiety over the job search starts.

I also got the MR mail but not RPRF mail. After 20 days i raised a CSE to which VO office replied that they had already sent me the RPRF mail on the same day as MR mail. I requested for extension for submitting PCC & RPRF and they promptly agreed. WHich VO is yours?

I am Nov 2014 applicant and got SLU on August 26, 2015. My Noc is 0112 and I have applied from Karachi Pakistan, MY VO is LVO and Visa Officer is KKB

On Last Friday my employer got confirmation call for 02 minutes only, in which they inquire whether I had worked there or not and the reason why I resigned, that's it

Now experts can you please advice what this mean , is it a positive sign and should I expect MR or wait for any other adverse reaction/action

Guys,

I did short landing on 18 April 2015. My wife (Secondary applicant) got PR card in July 2015. When I did nt got PR card till Aug 2015, I Called CIC customer care and asked for the update of PR Card. They said, you have given India address and we don't dispatch Outside Canada.

When I checked the ECAS, I noticed Mailing address was Indian and Home address was Canadian. I request on that call that to please convert Home address to mailing address and ask for acknowledgment. He said, you need to trust me. We don't send acknowledgement.

In addition, I update the address online also, plus I also informed New delhi CIC office regarding the query. I did all this on 21 AUg 2015. But till today I have no information regarding my PR card.

Can you guys suggest any other alternative to know about the status of my PR Card.

I am a physician, what were the further tests they required ? As i am going for medical next week. (i am conscious being a physician)

I think that is a good news for you. Inshallah you'll get MR soon. Brother just confirm one thing..... did they called to your manager or direct superior or they called your HR?

To God be the glory,COPR and visa for my family arrived this morning at 10.18am,i give God almighty all adoration,honour and praise for this eventful journey that started August 27th 2014 and a first timer for this Canada dream.God is a God of possibility.My application from start to finish was smooth..never had cause to send any updated document(POF,PCC,Generic form,Schedule A background form) to VO..my only response to VO was passport request.Na only God..

Visa issued 28th August 2015...Thats 366days right?..Godwin.
