Hi guys

I immigrated to BC last year and with no friends or family here settlement has been a success story in building. I love the place and at each step as we are growing I look back and see how we had to sometimes struggle for small things... There are so many things here that even the settlement agencies won't tell you.. Like the rental assistance program, Canada benefit finder and so much more.. so as a class project (I am studying to be a corporate trainer/instructor here), I created an interactive infographic where I have put most of the programs that the government has to offer and a lot of other information. it is: dr garima kamboj dot wix dot com slash immigrant

And today my ECAS got updated with 3rd and 4th line update.

Before today I had only two lines.

We received your application on 28th Nov.

We started processing your application January 31st.

Today I got these two line but they changed 2nd line to 3rd Line


We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 7, 2015. ( I have not received anything on April 7th I did got my PER on Feb 17th.)

And final 4th Line update is - We transferred your application to the Colombo office on February 17, 2015. The Colombo office may contact you.

Should I raise CSE to find out what was sent on April 7th or they might have got dates wrong?

Hi Guys, I have a concern. I just got our medical check-up as well as my daughter. Everything was cleared except that I was required to submit a certificate of treatment for my daughter's primary complex to the clinic. My daughter's pediatrician was able to produce the certificate today after days of waiting because the pedia's always out. The certificate was processed by the mother of my child, who is also my girlfriend but not yet my wife. The problem is; in the certificate, the name of the requester is the name of my girlfriend with my surname and with a title Mrs. My child's pedia just assumed that we were already married.

My question is; will the certificate of treatment be used for the clinic's internal purpose only just to make sure that my child is already treated and just send the summary of medical results to CIC? Or is the certificate also forwarded to CIC? My concern is, should the certificate be forwarded to CIC as well, my civil status would be in conflict between my application and the requested certificate of treatment.

Need your inputs guys.

I noticed that in my spouse's COPR, color of eyes are mentioned as BROWN, instead of BLACK. Please le me know will this be problem for me in future and also let me know how i can correct this error.

LVO advised me tht they have send documents fr PCC at my mailing address. One of my frnds who also applied to fswp have extra set of request paper to obtain PCC. (as he got twice). should i wait fr LVO post or start processsing by taking from my friend. as no name is mentioned on them. plz note that LVO has given me 30 days fr PCC but i live in country where they issue pcc in minimum 30 days. i just want to save the time. pl advise

Dont wait for VO mail. Apply for PCC ASAP. Most of the PCC have validity of one year. And once you get the PCCs , you can send them to VO and it would be updated in your file.

I'm planning a trip to Ankara to pick up my visa next week. Can you please tell me whether I will face any problems during the days I have handed in my passports to VAC and staying without a passport..

Hi !!

In many posts I am reading that people are getting job verification calls, can you please tell me what do they ask to your employer specifically (if any one has experienced it) and how do you know that it was a call from CIC.

I have not informed anything to my current employer till I am not getting clear picture and afraid if they will disclose it to my employer.

In which stage they are getting calls before medicals or after medicals.

What do you suggest my friends, I want to ask something. My wife backout to come with me and my 2 kids this coming September first week. What is the best thing to do if she will not come with us? It is just because of some little misunderstanding which haven't settled yet. Do you think they will allow us to enter Canada even if without her? I am the principal though.
