URGENT HELP AND REPLY NEEDED.

Situation:
My current passport (which is expiring in June 2016) will soon have Canadian PR visa stamped in it (INSHALLAH) which will also expire in June 2016.
I plan to complete my landing formality in March 2016 (with 3 months remaining for my pp expiry)
I checked with Oman Air and they said that your passport should be valid for atleast 6 months before travelling.

So, my question is:
Just to comply with the 6 month airline rule, If I get my passport renewed, will I have any problem during landing?
Cauz my PR visa shall be in my old passport (Old passport will be cancelled/invalidated when I renew it- NOT EXPIRED)

I am a bit Confused ::)
Kindly give your input.
Thanks

Hi, I landed in Canada recently with PR status. My PR card is yet to come. However i am thinking of going back to India and bring my family before my PR card arrives.

Whats the best way to re-enter Canada ? Should i apply for a travel document or ask my friend to courier my PR card to India ?

As far as i know, if you leave Canada without PR card, to get back in you'll have to apply for a visa again... Its better you wait tillyou get the Card and then leave Canada to get your family

Hello

MXH is the visa officer

My time line is
Application filed on 11 Dec 2014
PER 28 FEB
Additional documents of new born submitted on 5th May
2nd line updated on 7th August

But I received the following reply from MXH 3 times in last one month.

This application is in queue to be processed by an immigration officer.

Usually people get MR soon after 2LU, but it is not the case here.

Finally got the PPR today. My date is 30-May-2014. Here is the issue now. I have the MR validity only until Nov 20th. My VO is NDVO. But I live in the US. Here is the quite from the PPR mail

"Also please advise our office immediately if you would like to submit your passports in United States."
They have asked me to reply through email by this link

"For all e-mail correspondence with our office, we request you to use the enquiries form at:
https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi"

This link doesn't work. Not sure how to contact them immediately. I got the email from DELHIIMMIGRATION at international.gc.ca

I replied to that email but not sure if they is a valid mail box that is monitored. Someone Please help me.

There are conflicting answers to your question. In one forum some one posted a paragraph from CIC website which said that a person can travel with and old passport but with a valid visa.

Again on the same forum someone posted an email from LVO that renewing the PP would render the visa invalid.

Pls check with your VO and then decide. Let us know what reply you get.

You send them email on delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca / DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca / DELHI-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

all these work. from one or two of them you will also get a read / received receipt.

Yes, I read that thread.
That's the reason I am confused.
I think its best to check with VO and then decide or call CIC.

Once I get my pp back will check with VO and update on the forum.

Finally, received PPR ;) :) :)

I got telephonic verification before 10 days. NDVO also called my office but after verification i have got nothing. So if any one has information regarding the time they take to send either MR or clarification mail please share.

Urgent!! on funds to carry..

Hi All,

If I'm not wrong last year I had shown Rs. 12,00,000/- when i submitted my application.
As per "http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp" the fund I need to show is C$18,260. I don't remember how much was this figure last year.
When I try to calculate with current conversion rate. C$18,260 is around Rs. 10,00,000/-

Do you know what is going on and where is my mistake here?

H[size=10pt]i,

Status changed to Decision Made :D

Does it mean that it is positive and I will receive the PPR request? Also if so, how much time would I have to land there.

thanking you.

Yes, you would receive a PPR email within a week.
The date would be mentioned on your visa, before that you have to land there. Generally its before one year of your medical date.

Friends,
I want to share my experience about submitting Passport, this may help applicants from UAE and getting PPR for VOs abroad.

I received a PPR from WVO to submit my passport at NDVO. As i am in UAE, I tried to submit it at Abu Dhabi Embassy and they did accept it without any confirmation from NDVO or WVO. Thanks to a post on forum, I came to know that Abu Dhabi Embassy does accept passports on Monday and Wednesday between 9-11:30. And yes, at 11 they stopped letting people in.
