Hey guys, I am a 5th August applicant still waiting for MR after my sl on 6th feb....my frnd has applied for gcms on my behalf from canada via mail post nd not online......he had sent the mail post on 14th june nd cheque for $5 was encashed on 18th june....but I haven't received my gcms notes yet....any info on this??? Is there anyway I can contact them for status update of mu gcms.....please help....god bless us all

It just takes 10 working days to get new passport from psk. So you can go for it now. And you will have sufficient time to submit to vsf.

Hi All,

I need one help here, I am going for short landing to Canada from United States in the month of Sep, How do I carry my proof of funds as in States there is no way of getting travelers checks and Forex cards.

Can we carry money in USD? or Can we show our money in USD in American bank? Or is there any way?

If there is any similar case who has already landed in Canada (US-> CANADA), please share your experience.

U can carry USD currency as POF. Don't worry much since it is normal things where u will be not ask much so better u carry USD with you while landing first time as Immigrant it would be best instead anyother form of POF

Yes that will be bettter if u visit personally as it will take one day to complete formalities and u can get the pcc within 2-3 days so go ahead

I have applied under FSW 2014 in July,2014 and recently received request from LVO via email to provide the following:

1.) PCC (from all countries I resided since 18th birthday)

2.) Explanation from myself regarding my intent to reside in Canada with documentary evidence.

Regarding point#2, kindly advise what documentary evidence can be provided under such situation and has anyone ever face the same situation?

1) First I want to know what is the process to add spouse? If I get married in court now I will have marriage certificates and documents. But do I need all the documents like ECA and IELTS for my spouse too which will take 2 - 3 months?

2) What is better to have my marriage now and have her added OR do I go and land and come back and get married and sponsor her a wife? For sponsor do I need to show taxes and employment in Canada or can I just sponsor her anyway having my PR card?

3) is there anyone who added his spouse after getting MR or PPR and tell me how long did it take to process application and what documents were required?

WE NEED SOME URGENT INFORMATION

WE have received our Temp PR valid until Feb 2016 , We need to land before FEB 2016 to get our 5 YEAR PR card AND we are doing our landing formalities this MONTH and will return back to UK . Now the question i have is , We are not sure what will be the start date ON the PR card, is it 5 Years from the date we have landed in Canada to do the Formalities ? OR The date we have received our Temp PR ? - This is very important for US any experts experience would be very useful. I have to be on site on a JOB in a different country so would like to make a decision depending on this . So anyone who has already got their PR card holders help will be appreciated THanks in advance
