Dear Seniors,

Could you please help me if we can bring bank statements as proof of funds while doing short landing in Canada.

I have been living in UK for last couple of years and my fund is allocated in Indian and UK bank accounts and don't want to transfer all money to Canadian bank accounts as I am doing short landing (20th Aug) at this time and planning to do permanent landing in Mar-Apr next year.

Please suggest and advise if anyone has used bank statements and bank letters (UK) for available funds as POF while landing.

Hi Amit,

I also plan to do a short landing first. I plan to take a DD in CAD for the POF. I can return with the DD as is and cancel it later.

Hello forum friends
I got MR on 1st june ,then I completed MR on 09/06/2015.Medical centre confirmed me that they had sent within 3/4 days of test .
I enquired to SGVO regarding my status as I don't get any update in my ECAS even after 1.5 months .Today I got their reply ( below mail ).

How long it takes for medical assessment ?

Your application is pending medical assessment. Our office cannot provide you with an update of your case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured we will contact you when your file has reached the next processing stage.

Hi All,

I have sent my Medicals receipt , PCC and my renewed passport copies(since they were expiring in Sept . I renewed after I received my PER).

The courier was delivered to them on 10th of June 2015. And on 15th of June the status was updated as "Medical results have been received" . But since then there is no new status update . it still shows the same status. :-[ :'( :-X :-[

Anyone in similar situation ? And how long we can wait for "Decision Made" status to come?

ALHAMDULILLAH! At last, almost a year long journey came to an end with a maple leaf pasted on my passport. Yes i have finally received my visa!. Suddenly the torturing wait of months seems totally worth it. Emotions are high!

Thanks to all those who supported me through this journey. I wish best of luck to all the mates who are still waiting for their next update. I sincerely pray that all of you reach your destination soon.

Happy to share the news that I and my wife got our passports stamped in person at Vienna Visa Office yesterday.
Along with this single entry Visa, we also got printouts of COPRs in duplicate.

Wishing success to everyone waiting for further steps in their application.

On my ECAS today I see the 4th line update reading: A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
So first I was very excited but then, I got to think, is it normal that they say that the office will contact me? Or they dont always add that part to the 4th line?? Please help!!

I am very happy to update that my passports are stamped with Maple leaf Visa last week...

I was busy in booking the tickets for short landing and booking hotel thus updating late, thanks to all seniors for their helpful advise and support.

2. PER date: 16th Feb 2015
3. AOR date: 16th Mar 2015
4. Second Line: 2nd May 2015
5. Medical Request: 6th May 2015
6. Medical Done: 10th May 2015
7. Third Line: 20th May 2015
8. DM/PPR: 30th July 2015

I am planning to relocate to Vancouver on last week of November 2015. Since Vancouver is the best place to live in Canada, North America or Globally. Vancouver is also one of the most beautiful cities in Canada or North America with ample opportunity for varieties domain expertise, tourism and businesses.

My brother is living in Vancouver from past 15 years and holds citizenship of Canada. I request you to let me or my brother know if you need any kind of help/support for your relocation. The support includes but not limited to, medical insurance on arrival, apartment rental, initial and basic requirements, opening accounts, buying vehicles, etc.

Since staying in hotel is very costly during the first few days, it is advisable to rent an apartment immediately on arrival. went to collect the Passports from the VFS today.

Found on opening that the photograph pasted on my Son's COPR was wrong.

Resubmitted all the Passports and COPR again.
