Hi,

As i search on net i see lots of IT jobs in toronto. Can we apply and get job before entering canada? I have not started job search yet, once i am done with spouse & child's medical will start applying.

Anyone here who has experience in IT job search?

Hows job market and what are the chances of getting job before landing or may be how many months or weeks it would take to get IT job after landing?

Thanks.

No harm trying for jobs without landing. But chances are far better if u start hunting after landing. A local contact number and availability for face to face interview matters a lot to employers. your call.

Hi All,

Congratulations for all of you who got MR/PPR/DM

Looks like another un-eventful month for me, its been like 4 months since I submitted my FBI PCC.
No update until now. I have requested for GCMS couple of weeks back. I'm still waiting for DM/PPR
I'm talking about months... as days does not matter any more... ??? ??? ???

Hey guys,

I had a question. So I got line 4 update right after my medicals were received by CPC-Ottawa before they asked for my passport. That was back in May. Since then its been almost 3 months and I haven't heard the decision yet. My representative has already sent couple of emails by as expected the VO never replied back. Since my application was received on Aug 1, 2014, I am still within the stipulated processing time so raising a CSE wont help either. I tried calling CIC customer service twice yesterday and both time I was told that I am still within the processing time and I need to wait. Couple of questions I had were:

1. Has anybody else been in similar situation? As I feel this isn't that normal.
2. During my conversation with the customer service agent, I mentioned that I am just concerned that the letter was sent and it somehow got lost in the mail. To which they replied that once the letters are sent out, there is an update in eCas which say something like the letter was sent by the VO. Is that true? As far as my experience on this forum goes, I have not seen anyone mention it.

Please advise. Thanks.
To answer your questions
1. I'm in the same situation as you are. My friend had to wait 2.5 months, Both he and myself had stayed in other countries. That could be the reason for the delay
2.To which number did you call?
3.Status changing to DM is the only indication that you would be expecting an PPR email in next few days/weeks.
Also, there is a good chance you get PPR email first and later the eCas changed to DM.
BTW, did you say mail??

Hope this helps

Dear Friends,

I am new to this forum. My Timeline:
Appl filed : 02 June 2014
PER : 15 Sept 2014
Second line (Processing started) : Oct 30 , 2014
New Delhi Visa Office.

But I have not received Medical. Also no verification.

I need clarification from experts :-
I am one of the directors of my present company. But I am working as a Computer Networking Professional and I have submitted the experience certificate for the same. But if my company is googled , one can see that I am a director. Is that a problem ? Pls share your views.

so there is no problem if it remain same address !!

No. my current passport has my 9 year old address. did not face any problems at all with that.

I just underwent for my medicals at IOM Karachi. Will appreciate if any body may answer my below query.

1. Do i need to send the copy of my medical receipt to LVO as i have already sent rest of required docs (RPRF receipt, Schedule A, Updated Information Chart, copy of PP etc) already through courier as well as in soft form through email.

2. If yes then soft copy will serve the purpose or i need to send the hard copy through courier as we all.

Thanks for your support. BTW i will share my medical exp for rest of group members knowledge shortly.

Medical results are directly uploaded online by the test centers. Unless otherwise advised, there is no need to send medical results seperately through courier or email.

Thanks for your response dude. Yea it has been about 2.5-3 months for me too. I have been seeing CPC-Ottawa processing the applications fairly quickly and that is why I am having this concern.
2. I found a number at another discussion forums (+1 613 944 4000 and 1111131 which takes you to PR Application Status agents). I called using Google Voice but I know people have been calling using Skype as well.
3. That is what other seniors at this forum had stated before. I am hoping it won't be too long before I get the email.
4. My bad. I meant email.

Anybody else been in the same boat?

Does your email contain below para; mine does, therefore I am not even sending them original PCCs;
"Important: please email the requested documents and the RPRF online payment receipt to us as separate attachments. Please ensure you email each updated form as a complete single attachment. To avoid unnecessary duplication of work, please do not also send a hard copy by mail/courier. It is not necessary to send the medical examination receipts to us"

I have received MR+RPRF+PCC+ Updated Schedule A today. Can anyone update the Global SS?

Hi everyone!!

On my ECAS today I see the 4th line update reading: A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
So first I was very excited but then, I got to think, is it normal that they say that the office will contact me? Or they dont always add that part to the 4th line?? Please help!!

Thanks!!

Hey Suhas,

Though the medical reports are send by the DM(doctor) to the Visa office, we can send the receipt as proof undertaking medicals. Though it seems it's not mandatory but still I had mailed it to them along with other documents.
