Guys need advice please..

I have got the Visa issues last month but have not booked the ticket yet. is it possible to get the currency converted without booking the tickets or mandatory to book ticket first. Yes you can as far as you got the visa.

also, can someone please advice how much should be the break up for 15000 CAD (2 person):

Cash - how much I personally believe 3-4k would be enough
In bank account - how much
Travellers cheque - needed or not? Rest TC. That's what i have done.

also is it wisable to get the account opened in Scotiabank or any other canadian bank from india, if yes, what is the procedure please...

Our PR visa will expire in april 2016, can we land in mar 2016, as I have some work related issues.

what are the negative aspects of landing lately.

In what cases, the CIC can stop us to enter Canada. like wife pregnancy, new rules, job market.... etc

In fact it is not me but a friend of mine who:
- Applied for FSW in May 2014
- PER in Aug 2014
- File got transferred to CPC_Ottawa in Aug\Sep 2014
- File transferred to Cairo VO in Sep 2014 ( almost a year from now).

Nothing since then.

- Do you think updating address means that Cairo VO will start working on our files?
- DO you have similar timeline?

Much delighted to inform that i got my passport with Visa stamped and COPR yesterday.. it just took 4 working days to get it done from NDVO.

Dear all,

Want to share with all that we had our ECAS update as Decision Made on Saturday, 1st August 2015. Yet to receive PPR though.

Our details are on the right. Key points.

1. No agent. cic website as bible
2. Points based on our calculation was on the brink, 67.
3. Preparatory activities in June 2014 end.
4. Getting "Maiden Name" PCC was a challenge
5. Also some furtherance tests & queries after medical
6. At RPRF time, vo asked for 18 years onwards Personal History
7. Planning short landing in Oct, Toronto for now...and move in April 2016

ALHAMDULILLAH! At last, almost a year long journey came to an end with a maple leaf pasted on my passport. Yes i have finally received my visa!. Suddenly the torturing wait of months seems totally worth it. Emotions are high!

Thanks to all those who supported me through this journey. I wish best of luck to all the mates who are still waiting for their next update. I sincerely pray that all of you reach your destination soon.

Hi everyone,

I'm going to request another FBI Identity History Summary because mine, which I have not submitted yet, is now 3 months old. I will be sending a fingerprint card/fingerprints from January '15. I checked the FBI website and didn't see anything about the card/prints having to be recent. Will this card work?

I know that there is a dedicated FBI thread but I wasn't able to find an answer to this question there. Any help would be appreciated.
