Hi Seniors can you please advise in this case? I am new to this fourm


I am living in USA currently (out of status now) and applied for FSW on Nov.28th 2014 only communication I received form CIC till date was acknowledgement letter with file number on February 17th 2015.

VISA office listed on my file is New Delhi.

Looking at processing time for NDVO its 12 months and its almost 8 months for my application and I haven't got request for PCC or anything online status shows in process.

Should I send email to visa office for update or its normal and it takes this long to get reply?

Here's my time lines:
Application filled: November 28th 2014
NOC: 1212
Credit card charged: January 23rd 2015
PER received: February 17th 2015

With the help of Almighty God, I received my PPR today about7 hours ago in my email. My eCAS is not showing DM yet but I am not worried as I will be sending passports tomorrow with a copy of the email attached.

. I am pleased to inform that I have received MR yesterday. However, they have also asked to submit

-- account statements for last 6 months.

Now I am confused whether to send my salary account statements or my POF statement. Bcoz I dont want to overdo anything unless I am 100% sure of it. And a friend of mine told me that if they wanted proof of funds then they would have clearly mentioned it.

Any suggestions for my situation?

My time line is:
App date : Oct 08, 2015
Per: Jan 22, 2015
Slu: July 09, 2015
Mr: July 29, 2015

Hi Friends. My ECAS status changed to "DECISION MADE" 2 days ago. My medicals were done on May 19, 2015 and TLU appeared on May 29, 2015. Is it a sign of worry at this stage?

Nice to be back though for a short time. Really not finding time due to hectic schedule and also facing connectivity issues as I am away from home for a while now.

Accessing the forum after almost 3 months time. Pleased to inform that with Gods grace and the good wishes of all of the forumites, I finally got the PPR on 23rd july and DM on 28th july. My consultant conveyed the PPR mail to me just yesterday (unfortunately I had gone through a consultant where almost all work was done by me itself). Booked flight tickets for 15th Sept to Toronto.

Eligibility assessment 1: Due Date: 2015/08/13
Eligibility assessment 2: Due Date: 2015/07/09

Anything to conclude from this?

Eligibility assessment 1 and 2 are always set to one year from PER and File Transferred date. look for location information under Paper History 1. that will likely tell you where you file is.

She asked about my roles and responsibilities, whom i was reporting into and who all were reporting into me. I fumbled a bit in giving all the names (which is what I am tensed about). Rest all the questions were answered appropriately. But through out the call I was nervous, I am sure she must have gauged that. Anyway, I am happy to know that they haven't entirely neglected my file.

Any idea how many days will MR take now??

Thank you again mk.2382. I am going to raise a Case Specific Enquiry with a scanned copy attached and ask them if they would like me to send them the original. I sent them a PCC from the country I live in but not from the USA as I technically never spent 6 consecutive months there at a stretch. However, I did live there for 4 years so they will probably require it. I put my application together in a couple of months and did not have time to wait for the FBI identity history summary.

I still dont think delaying submission of FBI PCC is a good idea. There is no need to seek permission to submit something. Whenever you submit documents they immediately get added to your file. Whosoever reviews your file next will take a call whether this new doc in your file is relevant or not. If it is relevant the infor present in it will be used, if not then it wont. But the doc will continue to stay in you file. So my suggestion would still be to just go ahead and submit it along with the letter explaining why you are submitting it. By waiting for them asking for it you are running the risk of expiring the validity of your FBI PCC.

What If the NDVO call us and we did not pick the call may be due to busyness or our phone was somewhere else and we missed the call.( we obviously do not know there number so we never know whether we missed their call)

Will they call repeatedly until we pick or they will mail us ?

Hi All, Need some expert advice... Planning to leave to Toronto by mid Oct'15 along with wife and kid. Wife(Applicant) and kid will return to India after 15 days of stay and will be back by April 2016 after the school completion of my kid. I will continue to stay in Canada and not leaving atleast for a year...

I was told by one of friend to stay atleast 2 months in Canada with whole family(cant afford so much leave for my wife and kid).... My question is

1. Will there be any issue in receiving the PR card by me in Canada(secondary applicant).
2. Can i give a friend's permanent address in Edmonton for receiving the PR card. Then it can be couriered to Toronto by her to me.

I guess my friend is wrong when he says 2 months minimum. Any expert opinion here... :

Yes no need for family to stay for 2 months if the plans are as stated above by you. 2 weeks is sufficient for completing all formalities.
What you mentioned in point 2 is totally doable.
