Hi Everyone,
I am too much worried about this please help me.
I am planning to visit Canada in September. I am the principal applicant and my husband as dependent. But recently, i found that i am 4 weeks pregnant. I am not sure if canada would allow me to enter the country.
Also, what if i visit Canada once and come back after 1 month along with my PR card and then take my baby after nine months to Canada. How will the child get its PR?

I am confused. Please help or guide me in the right direction.
Please.
Have you received your PR? If yes, then ideal situation is to ensure you are in Canada when the baby is born....else the process to add the child as dependant after getting PR would be time consuming

All Snrs/Experts,

I am planning for short landing 1st week of August and confused about how should I carry funds?
I have a family of 3. Can I carry complete amount of $ 18000 (approx) in forex card or go with traveller's cheques?

Suggest me other good options too!

Yes, there is no issue if your PP is stamped with visa. There is 6 months validity clause when cic is going to stamp visa on it.

Relax..Lord Krishna bless us all!!

Hi Guys,

I just found this forum now, and it seems to be very useful. I have applied on 5/8/2014, and the app was received on 5/12/2014. CC was charged on August 2014, PER received on December 2014. But unfortunately I lost the email.
I was able to retrieve my UCI number & File number from CIC support, but i'm not able to use them to access my ecas.
I contacted all kinds of support but none was able to help, So I hope that any one can help me. I'm going crazy not being able to know my status.
This is the last thing I heard from the visa office " Please be advised that your file has been received to our London visa office and is ready to be reviewed by the officer."
And nobody has contacted me ever since.

Hi guys,

I'm coming to Canada at the end of July from Pakistan. Will someone guide me on the following:

1. What documents do I need to obtain from Pakistan for getting a driving license easily in Canada?
2. For my kids, which vaccination documents do I need to obtain? CIC has sent me stamped passports and COPRs, and nothing else.
3. How to prepare goods accompanied and goods to follow list? (Is there any specific format for it?)
4. Do I need to bring all the basic amount of money required for a family of 4? Or can I bring less than that?

Please guide. Thanks

Yes, Canada will allow you entry.
Also, you will not get PR card in a month.
Currently it is taking around 90-100 days for PR card.
So if you get out of Canada, you will need to get travel docs from Canadian embassy.
Also, you will need to arrange a VISA for your baby as the baby will not be a Canadian by birth.

So, in short, if you have already received VISAs, it makes more sense to make a move and have the baby in Canada.
If your application is still in progress, then you mush tell your VISA office. They will then put your application on hold till the baby is born.

You should, and must carry the entire amount.

hello xperts,

again, asking the same question with a great hope..

Hello Experts,

I have completed landing formalities and am in Canada and my PR card is in process which may be delivered within 3 months of time due to heavy rush. ( approx. 90 days after landing based on experiences of people)

Because of some unforeseen condition back in India, I want to visit India for a month on immediate basis. But then, because , I haven't got my PR card yet, I am not sure if there is a way to return to Canada, if I travel to India without PR card.

I went through website and got some info about , applying for "Travelling Document" etc. My total PR processing time was almost one year which really took lot of patience and was a roller coaster experience..So this "travelling document" is also going to be the same?? or Is there easy way..

Does anybody else find the right-side advert bar irritating... ::)

Anyways, answers to ur queries-

Ppl get PRTD when they apply at most within a month- 6 weeks...You just have to give a solid reason why u left Canada without the PR Card...It's a hassle but most ppl get it smoothly...As u have landed in Canada, ur now a PR, that entitles u to every right as a Citizen except the right to vote....Have some confidence dude :):)

There are a couple of other ways to go back to Canada-

1) I assume u have given a Canadian address for PR Card delivery when u landed...Ur friend/ relative can pick up the card at this address and forward it to you..it's perfectly legal...and many many ppl have done it (those who went for short landing).....You can also change the Canadian address that you initially gave through ECas change address option/ by calling the CIC Call Center (I'm not sure how long after initial landing this is possible, double-check this point)..The Card will come through Normal post...

2) If u have a US Visa, then u can go to US, then travel to the Canada border (ex. at Niagara Falls) with ur personal vehicle (like a rented car) and re-enter only by showing ur COPR ( u don't need ur PR Card in such cases)....This doesn't apply for comemrical transport like planes, trains/ buses...

Good luck!!

I' getting same issue. Right side advertisement bar.
It's really irritating >:(

Browser addons & extensions can be used to get rid of the irritating right side adverts.

Any PPR today?/

looks like there are two already and no updates here?!?
