Something weird just happened, i just sent RFPRF receipt along with medical confirmation report to my VO (London) and i got following response within half an hour:

"Please note that your application is also undergoing mandatory background checks. We are unable to advise when these checks will completed, however, please rest assured that we will contact you with further instructions as soon as the results for the background checks and favourable medical results have been received."

How come BG checks started AFTER getting the medical request?? Is this normal? Any one else ever received such message after the medicals?

P.S: I received medical request last week and completed in the same week.

Can you predict when will I get my PPR?

I suggest you raise a CSE.
As some members have experienced, sometimes VO simply lose track of an application.

A CSE will make them fetch your file and work on it, if by chance they had stopped working on it.

This sounds a bit weird. May be they copy pasted while replying.

Normally i have seen they write "Routine background checks" but in this case it is "Mandatory background checks". Maybe by mandatory BG checks they meant security checks, as only these checks are mandatory. Otherwise routine BG are not mandatory.

I am afraid if ur CC has not been charged till now, it's likely ur Application is on it's way back....Prepare for Express Entry while waiting for ur documents to be sent back...

Also to get a definitve reply from CIC, u can mail here asking for status of ur Application->

CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca

You will get a reply in 6 weeks...Provide all relevant details in the mail including ur NOC, Date of Receipt at CIC, Name of Receiver, Courier details, Passport No., DOB, ur UCI (if u have from a previous application), etc.....Good luck!!

If they have not charged your CC or encashed the DD, then it is very unlikely that your application made it to the pool.

As suggested, pls raise a CSE. At least you will get to know what happened to your application and where your documents are.

Why VisaFile.info?

You can directly raise an enquiry with your Visa Office.
