Hi All,

Yesterday I got email from LVO to proceed with the Medical Examination Request and payment of Rights of Permanent Residence Fees.

I hope next process goes smoothly and swiftly Just wanna ask a question, i am going to be married in couple months, should i marry to complete my spouse's documents early to process her case along with me? or you people suggest something else?

My timeline:
Application reached CIC: October 16, 2014
PER issued: January 19, 2015
Medical and RPR fees request: June 24, 2015

I would say, get married now to avoid dealing with the sponsorship process, which has separate processing timelines and many other formalities. Delay in current FSW application, because of spouse addition, will be worth in your situation.

This way, you would be able to enjoy the upcoming life event, than staying apart and arranging things later.

Can we not write to CIC canada and mention that they have just neglected most of the May and June applicants and we dont know whom to get in touch with. As writing to NDVO
1. there is no reply
2. if we write to them again and again that might hamper our file

Is it mandatory to have DM update before VISA stamping...as my ECAS status is still' Medical Received'

I received PPR on 8th June and I submitted passport to VFS Pune on 9th June but I have not received my passport back... How long does it normally take? When can I expect to receive my passport back?

ECAS is just an indicator. You can very well reach Canada before ecas gets any update and you will be alright.
I think you should get the passport back in a week or two.

I has taken 16 days for me to get the passport back. I have submitted my passport @ VFS Delhi.

I heard it takes 2-3 weeks for PR card to come. so 2 months should be a safe duration.

now that most of us have either got the PRs or are getting close to get in a few months time, do you guys think it is a good idea to start sharing knowledge on things like job hunt, finding a home etc etc.

Eventually findind a job is our ultimate goal.
Even better if we could find one before landing.

Guys who have already landed can share their experiences.

We can either have a seperate thread or discuss here.

Hi Brother,

If you marry before visa stamping and do not inform VO, It will be difficult for you to sponsor her later.

If you marry after visa stamping and before landing then also you need to inform VO, as you need to fill landing forms.

If you marry post landing then you can sponsor her.

Dear Friends.. I've got struck in dilemma for selecting the airlines to Toronto. Can some one suggest me with the best airline from Hyderabad. I planned to travel by BA, but came to know from frnd tht services are very poor,always a danger of missing baggage between flights..

If u mean BA as British airways then I must say its goood!!! I have travelled few times so go for it! ;D

My suggestions are as follows.. Rating based on onboard service.

1. Qatar
2. Emirates
3. Etihad
4. Lufthansa
I think Lufthana is comparatively a bit cheaper. I've booked for Etihad though.

Etihad good choice they delay sometimes from AUH but Lufthansa was not good and when they connect at any German city everything written in German so that becomes challenging u get few options only

Average time takeN is 45 calendar days so your idea looks good ;D
