Send a CSE to your VO informing about your Passport renewal. Most likely, they will ask you to re-submit your new passports, COPR'S (they will ask for the entire family passports and copr to be returned) for visa stamping again. They will re-issue visa and COPR.

Agreed with sk....Keep them informed, don't try to directly land with renewed PP..There may be unforeseen complications...

Medical Request: Nov 2014
Self Medical Done: Dec 2014
Wife's Partial Medical Done: Dec 2014 (X-Ray pending due to pregnancy)
Wife's X-Ray and Baby's medical done: June 2015

Now If we get visa in 2-3 months then we have to fly by Dec 2015 (bcoz my medical is going to expire in Dec 2015)
If there any option for me to go for medical again to take advantage of 1 year visa validity? If yes then what is the process?

Kindly Suggest.
VO New Delhi.

Thank you sk1984 and arkscan..

But there is a problem here..i cannot resubmit my passport since my visa office is new delhi and i am currently out of india..
Also talking with the Passport seva kendra in india, they told that the visas on old passport will still be valid and the new passport will contain special stamp that old passport contains valid visa. in short they are saying that i need to travel with 2 passports and it will be no problem
what is your views about it

has anybody faced similar situation in past?

Thanks in advance

Guys!!

:) I have one query regarding passport submission to Visa Office@New Delhi.

1. How much time would they take (approx. time) to stamp my passport and return back?
2. Is there any possibility of Visa Refusal after PPR?

I would be highly Obliged if anyone can provide me with these information

:)

2. Is there any possibility of Visa Refusal after PPR? Close to 0 unless they found something very drastic at the very last minute.

I would be highly Obliged if anyone can provide me with these information

Honestly, opinion on this is mixed..Check this thread for example->

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/canada-pr-visa-becoming-invalid-on-passport-renewal-t245411.0.html

The London VO replied to an applicant specifically stating that renewing PP would invalidate the Visa....In response, a senior member 'namaste' posted the manual called ENF4 "Port of Entry Examinations" which contains the guidelines that CBSA Officers must follow for our landing...

See the Manual here->

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf04-eng.pdf

Section 13.15 (page 56) specifically states that People with Expired PP must be allowed entry provided both the PPs are provided...but i looked at the section- Section 13 is specifically for "Temporary residents include visitors, students, workers, and permit holders"..It's completely silent on PR Holders...

So this all leaves a little doubt in my mind....If it's not a problem for u, I'd recommend u shud renew PP after landing..And u can renew the PP from Indian Embassies overseas....Or, if u renew now, u must keep the VO informed....

Buddy,

You will get varied answers for sure. Please get a confirmed answer from VO that will ensure that there are no last minute surprises in store for you.

I would not believe the PSK guys. Trust me, the information and decisions taken \ given is at the discretion of regional passport office head.

If i was you, I would send a CSE to NDVO and get a confirmation before i travel \ Renew.

Good Luck

Sk
