Hi All.....

I have query... I am having the visa validity, I mean the PPR stamped till March end. Is it a good idea to fly just before that, like end of February something??

I am very much confused in this matter. People advised me to come before November because its better to adapt to the weather conditions before winter starts. But I am planning to do a course before flying.

What you all suggests??

All the Best guys and always in prayers for people waiting for MR/TLU/DM/PPR...

Thanks

@khare smita

It can take some time, as usually CSE are checked after a lag of few days. However, once they check it, it will not take a day or 2 to rectify. U need to be patient, u r already through the whole process.

Not long man...It's just treated as a fresh stamping...so I imagine it'd be similar to the time taken for the initial stamping...

However, in ur case I think, ur correcting some errors in COPR/ Visa so they have to check the additional supporting docs once and then print the Visa Counterfoil/ COPR..it might be slightly longer....

Don't worry, it will come through and soon :)

I suggest you visit earlier, though I am not giving negative message, but life is uncertain, so the more you delay the more you are taking risks... You know what I mean.

Bad idea.....Winter is coming ;)

Mid Nov to Feb-end/March Beginning are the coldest months in Canada and yes, it'd take some time for us to adjust being from warmer countries...It has to be experienced to be believed....And hiring is also less during this period....And if u travel in mid-March, u have mere days left on ur Visa validity....God forbid, some emergency happens and if ur unable to travel, u forfeit all the hard work for PR...

Travel by Oct-end...or if not possible, plan for a short landing in Sep then a permanent move next year....

I'm doing the same :)

Friends

My child's visa will be expiring in 2 years. We will be moving to canada sometime soon. I assume we'll have to come to India to renew the passport before it expires.

1. Any idea how tedious will it be to renew my child's passport and get the canada visa stamped when we come to India to renew?

2. Since we'll have PR card from Canada by then, do we really need to care about the canada visa stamp on our Indian passport?

3. How important it is to hold a valid India passport? Can we come down to India anytime after passport expiry and apply for renewal?

4. How soon can we apply for Canadian passport?

5. Is it legal to hold two valid passports?

Sorry for too many questions. Hope you understand what I'm trying to cover. Any info/discussion on this topic will be helpful. Having this understanding is very important as we don't want to be doing any mistakes..

Finally after a long wait n processing....got my PP back with COPR.....
Thanks to this forum and wish you all the best to all other applicant...

Are they even going to process my file any further. Its frustrating on so many levels. No clarity as to whats going on with the file. They say its been put with the outside agencies for background checks, but 2nd line was updated on 24th Nov, thus I completely fail to understand what is the nature of performing background checks. NDVO cant even comment on any timeline. I was certain that a decision would be made within 12 mths under FSWP 2014. So many decisions in life are handing by a thread.
