Thanks for the message! Do you think giving them a call is a good idea? Or it is better to wait for the warsaw office to nominate new applicants with the MR?

Thanks

Calling them is not a good idea. All we can do is to wait. In month-end or the latest in mid July we will have updates, I am sure.

PS. The Canadian immigration policies are one of the best in the world and maybe the very best, however it has one big weakness – there are no strict processing times officially set (only some instructions and promises), in other words VO is not obliged to finalize an application within a certain period.

Hello all,

I thought of coming back to this forum after a brief silence. Most of you can see my timelines on the left side.I am currently in Ottawa, Canada and its been 15 days in Canada. Weather is good here as summer has started.

Most of you have been thinking that many active forum members became inactive once they got their visa or landed in Canada. It is not deliberately done but things will change suddenly once you start packing the things and land in Canada. Its a completely different world where you need be very strong in embracing the change, culture and things around you.

Here are few things I'd suggest you to do some ground work for the people who are aspiring to land in coming months

1/ goto canada job sites like indeed.ca, workopolis, monster and try to find jobs which match your skillset.
2/ Do not apply to any one of them. Try to understand what exactly they are asking in the job description
3/ Do some work in understanding the things they've asked in the job. Try to learn them before hand. Online / youtube will work
4/ Try to find resume online. I'd suggest indeed.ca to find existing resumes
5/ Research everything. Try to take notes for the every job you see. List down everything you know or don't know
6/ Create LinkedIn profile and try to connect canadian recuiters/headhunters. search for companies like procom, quantum, randstad, hays, adecco etc..Send emails via linkedin to recruiters that you would be available soon and try to get connected.

I hope this helps for certain individuals to get a kick start.

I am still yet to find my first job in Canada. I am currently attending workshops / meeting new people to find the hidden jobs. It would certainly take few weeks to months to get a first job.

I will post whatever I find useful to this community whenever I find time but I wont be far away from you all.

All the best.

If it is panel physician need not to worry, they will send your report directly to CIC. You can check with the admin over there. you will have to submit your passport photocopy and the medical request letter from CIC to the physician. Once the cic receive it you will get the line updated as medicals received.

Guys one quick question
As Canadian PR's have certain residency obligations like they will have to stay for 2 out of 5 years in Canada. Does working for canadian consulate in delhi or anywhere in India count towards it??Like one is working for Canadian firm.

Or one should be recruited in Canada and then transferred to India's office??
