Dear All,

Recently I have received below communication from Colombo visa office. Although I have mentioned my previous visits to other countries clearly but some I overlooked the clause for visa refusal.

VO has given me 30 days to provide the justification for same, Can someone please help me how to proceed?

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Subsection 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act 2001 states that a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act. Paragraph 40(2)(a) specifies that the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1).

In September 2014 you and your spouse completed Schedule A applications declaring that you have never been refused a visa to Canada or any other country. You declared these applications to be truthful, complete and correct. However we have information that you, your spouse and your son were refused Non Immigrant Visas.

I will allow you 30 days to address this concern. At the end of this time period I will make a decision on your application with or without a response.

Thanks in advance.

There is not much you can do now that you've already received a notice about this. People in this forum has time and again advised to be honest by correcting the error, and send out an apology letter with new schedule A form.

Not only your visa will get refused, but you will also get a 2 year ban from entering Canada or applying for any other visa to Canada. And this will leave a permanent mark on your immigration record. So don't take this lightly, try your best to resolve, although VO is unlikely accept anything at this stage.

Hi

Please help me out, i am in lot of confusion.

On on-line status, i have got 'medical has been received' as second line update. But there is no usual second line update 'processing started on_____'

I am confused now. Please anyone tell me is it normal scenario.

Thank u all, plz do reply

ECAS is just a window to keep impatient people updated with their application's status. Don't worry about it. People have had Decision Made many days before they received PPR, as long as it doesn't say decision made before medical received line, you're most likely fine!

CAN SUMONE PLZ UPDATE THE EXCEL SHEET FOR ME!
THE TIMELINE IS ON LEFT. I HAVE RECEIVED MY PPR AND SUBMITTED PASSPORT ON 9TH JUNE 2015.

THANKS

Hello fellows

GOT VISA ON PASSPORTS

I went to the embassy this morning. I deposited the passports of myself and family. While I was watching a documentary about life in canada for newcomers in the embassy waiting room, our immigrant visa was getting affixed to the passports. After half an hour, I picked up passports with visa and COPR for me and family. Very smooth transaction with moments filled with joy and fear from the unexpected in Canada. Reality life is here now...let's challenge it.

I wish you every success on your application and plenty of luck and comfort in the whole process.

Congrats, Giftmas! It's time for an early Christmas party ;)

I would like to take a moment and thank each and every member of this forum because if not direct, indirectly I learned a lot of things from each n every member here..

Planning to land in Toronto somewhere in mid July.

1 query: Are B4 n B4a forms same??

Congrats! Don't know about B4. Do we need to bother about more forms and documents even after getting visa?

Nothing to worry...Its just a system error.....Maybe this will get corrected at a later stage when VO will update 3rd Line or 4th Line....

Indian customs, I never thought of.... The seniors who travelled already can answer...
For the fund requirements it's 18260CAD for 3 members minimum as per Cic website,, however if you carry more you can do so.

You can also try the options of opening Canada bank accounts such as kotak, icici..
