Hi...
Need your expert advice.

We got Passport stamped last month with validity until first week of Dec 2015 for my family.

I have query here
1) Is it require whole family to travel together? Or Main applicant can go first and then rest of the family can join before first week of Dec.
2) My son passport is valid until 5th Dec 2015. it has one time visa stamped. will there be any issue in travelling or ticket booking because his passport would be valid for a period of less than 6 months.
3) Can I renew my son passport now? Would there be any issue in flying before Dec.

@JAJ84

Its the earliest expiry date of all .......... but most of the VO now requires all passports to be valid for more than 1 year.

Guys.....Question!

As I know, there may be various visa validity dates - among one is expiry of passport? Is this only primary applicant passport expiry or any of the dependents?

Appreciate ur time...................sharing is caring :) :) :) :)

Here's a + 1 for you. ...

MINE ALSO DECISION MADE BUT IT SAYS

"A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

does this mean approved

If yes than in how many days they will send a mail as Passport is with them only

Regards
Smita

For those who are planning a short landing and request for "urgent processing" of PR ..... note the 64 days for new applicants is "URGENT PROCESSING" as confirmed by CIC call center agent :o, according to him, ALL NEW APPLICATIONS ARE PROCESSED ON URGENT PROCESSING, regular time these days is 81 days (which is applicable to renewals). Plus, if u r asked to resend the pics, the time to open mail is around 60 days from date of receipt.

So, based on current processing times, 60 days are wasted in opening the mail and then 3-4 days are spent in processing.

P.S: The URGENT PROCESSING option is not mentioned for NEW APPLICANTS, which is a further proof that its ALREADY URGENT @ 64 days.

@khare smita

Congratulations ............. Yes, it means APPROVED as in other case they wud first contact u and request further info.

The PPR can take from 1 hour to 4 weeks, as its immig officer dependent. However, the total time i.e. from D.M to Visa stamping is usually same. Some officers complete other formalities (nothing tht can result in Denial) including visa printing before sending PPR. U can Start packing ur stuff.

@ sanjaysharma

1. Main applicant can land first.
2. Technically, it shudn't be a problem as 6 month validity condition is mainly for allowing time for u to return. but better check with some airline.
3. Not sure, but what i know is that u can renew the passport but have to keep the old one as well.

P.S: If u r looking for focused discussion / planning for landing and settling issues, u r welcome to join whatsapp group of applicants who have landed or landing soon, PM/inbox ur number.

Till when one need to keep the funds in one's account. Would it be fine If I can withdraw funds once medical is done? I want to use my funds.

@binny_31

Its OK if u want to move the funds to high yield but liquid investments at any stage (keep the proof of transfer). However, till issuance of visa, POF can be requested again, so its not advisable to put them in non-liquid investments till issuance of visa or for that matter till landing.
