CLB is Canadian Language Benchmark, it is not name of any test. I think you are confusing CELPIP with CLB. As there are various tests available for testing English language, CLB is the term which is being used for consistency.

Hi,

Is anyone aware if we can appear for CLB (Canadian language test similar to IELTS for English) in India.

I plan to do a short course in my profession and the University in Canada is asking compulsory for CLB scores. IELTS is not longer acceptable to them.

Has anyone appeared for CLB. If so then please share the details.

I have even read that for Express Entry they are making CLB compulsory. I am not sure, just telling what i read on various blogs.

Thanks,

Regards,

Hello evryone
I hve askd this question in other forum too and all have advised me to ask here!!!
Need urgent help ..giving a briefing abt my case
I had applied in FSW 2014 in may 2014. In nov 2014 i got medical request and in feb 2015 my passports request.
After 2 days of submission of my passports i came to know about my pregnancy and
keeping in mind the complications and my earlier 2 miscarriages doctors advised me
against travelling.
I immediately informed the embassy via email ( in March,2015 itself) to put my application on hold. But despite of that they issue me visa(around 13-14 april 2015 i get a message that my passports have been dispatched) and the visa validity is till nov 2015 and due to some confusion at their end regarding my file no they replied me on mail that they have not asked for my passports(owing to file no confusion at their end)
Further I mail them pointing their error and further process in my application. Now they have replied me as

"Please be advised that your file is now closed and if you wish to travel to Canada after the baby is born, we will have to re-open and re-assess your application. Please note that there is no guarantee that you and your dependants will remain admissible after the new assessment"

What do they mean by re-assess..i would be counted in FSW ?
I am the main applicant..can my husband enter alone in canada, without me?what should be my next step of working as i dont want to loose PR. Nd being on bed rest it will not be possible..should i contact embassy again ??please help
What should be next course if action
1.requesting embassy again and saying that i have informed them on time and they should consider as i am the main applicant and on bed rest
2.come to canada risking by baby..apply for PR cards and return within a week and PR cards will be delivered to my relatives address
3.what exactly is RE-assess? Re apply from scratch or wat..
like according to the requirements at that time?

Anyone having legal knowledge????

For what I have seen in most of the posts here is people do a Big Mistake while contacting VO directly and asking them to put files on HOLD :o . You are almost asking them to throw their year long hard work processing your file in vain also it disturbs their accounting of demand/supply of presumed jobs under your NOC. Never ask them to stop process, as such people here die waiting to start the process :D

Your case is too complicated, as per the lines of the mail which you have stated, it seems they have closed your file and want you to make a fresh application in case you would like to go for PR again. Not sure, but you may now fall under Express entry only and no FSW. [Not sure at all].

Dependent CANT travel alone before the main applicant [Almost sure]. Dependent CAN travel alone in case the main applicant has already landed prior to dependent. If you can travel for the period of even 1 week, your PR status will be saved.

If not, only option left is to consult some good agents and contact CIC to consider your situation. Or last option is to challenge their decision of closing your file.

Have you not raised a GCMS notes? If not then you must do it right away to better understand about your file status during the whole process. This may help you put up your case in a right way.

HI All,

Got my GCMS notes today but unfortunately most of the important stuff was whitened by them already.

Firstly, I was surprised to see that how can they hide the information in GCMS notes. But then I looked up their laws and everything and found that they CAN hide it.

Also found this interesting Canada Visa Page: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/vital-information-about-caips-gcms-notes-t109332.0.html

Have a look at it. It is worth reading.

Hi All,

I am planning to land in July. I would like to know what all docs can I carry to make a smooth landing. Few that I know is:
1. List to goods to accompany (I would not have goods following).
2. PR Card form
3. SIN form

Can someone please share the link for PR and SIN form? Also please advice what other docs can I carry?

Regards,
Gaurav

Hi,

Congrats!!..answers in-line....

Thnx arkscan..ur very helpful at all times..in view with your reply..

It's very very risky to take Indian Bank statement as POF while landing...Most ppl advise against it..U need to take CAD (or USD is also acceptable) in the form of Cash, TC, Bank Drafts, or Canadian Bank A/c statement

Thnx for info..but then we cannot take CAD for complete POF quoted during application...can i just open a bank account in canada with the help of my relative residing there, before entering to canada than i can transfer funds to that account? later on after landing can i transfer it back to india? as this funds belongs for some other reason so..

Again that's not a good idea..Nov-mid to Feb end-March beginning is winter in Canada- the kind of bone-chilling cold u cannot imagine abt..Takes our bodies some time to get acclimatised, especially ppl like us from warm countries..And ur taking a risk if u plan to land in the 2nd half of march with only days left for visa validity..God forbid, some unforeseen delay/ emergency happens, u put ur entire PR process in jeopardy

Check the sites like skyscanner.co.in, kayak.com, or momondo.com for airfares trend....prefer to book directly in the airline websites or reputed 3rd parties like ebookers, makemytrip, etc...

i am not planning at the edge..may be in jan or feb..but still thinking over if dec can be a good option..so as per you if we land like before nov that be the best time? Thnx for the sites provided for ticket booking...any job hunting counselor/sites you know which could help me..

Also i have once query i belong to manufacturing backgrnd..i am an engineer and NOC is manufacturing manager..i heard you don't get job in engineering field directly as you need some license and give some exams in order to work under engineering field.,is it true? can you share some info over it regarding what exam etc if you aware about it..

Hi friends,
In my COPR letter, the destination written is Saskatchewan. But now I want to land in Ontario. Is there any issue in landing other city? Does the candidate under FSWP can land anywhere in canada other than Quebec?

Yes probably...The best guidance abt this u would receive is from the CIIP Session..they give u a general overview and a Personalized Counselling Session..I strongly recommend u apply for the Session once- u wud get to know the license and exam details and contacts required..suggest u register here-> http://www.newcomersuccess.ca/ to get the schedule..

" The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases finalized between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015. Processing times are subject to change and are based on a complete application package. "

U can raise CSE to NDVO and inform the same. U can also go ahead with the upfront medicals, however panel doc may askyou for the letter from CIC. Also note its happned with few ppl they missed out on email coz it went to spam or bulk mail so just check again.

Does the email contains some applicant specific forms that Medical representative will ask for? Kindly tell..
