Are you asking for ur kid? I thought u were single applicant... ;D

"Health documentation
Children in Canada are vaccinated—also called immunized—beginning when they are newborns. Vaccinations help to prevent serious infections or diseases.

When you travel to Canada, bring official documents that state what vaccinations you and your family have already had. If you or your child has not been vaccinated, call your doctor or local public health clinic right away.

In Canada, immunization or vaccination records are required for children to enroll in school."

Hi arkscan,
I am single applicant.
Actually when I went UK last time on student visa then I took vaccination.
So thought to ask if anything like that required for Canada too.

Hey guys ! Got my tlu on 3rd june when can I possibly expect ppr and is it possible for me to get my passport renewed at this moment?
You can expect your PPR in a month's time. you can immediately get you passport renewed so that you get the new passport in this time before receiving PPR request.

Hi,

Is anyone aware if we can appear for CLB (Canadian language test similar to IELTS for English) in India.

I plan to do a short course in my profession and the University in Canada is asking compulsory for CLB scores. IELTS is not longer acceptable to them.

Has anyone appeared for CLB. If so then please share the details.

I have even read that for Express Entry they are making CLB compulsory. I am not sure, just telling what i read on various blogs.

Thanks,

Regards,

Happy to Inform all that i received my Passport with Visa stamped on it along with COPR...just cannot convey how wonderful the moment is..
But had hard time with Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi..Submitted my passport thru Vfs abu dhabi on 17th May, from then it was just showing that it is being processed at canadian embassy..after calling vfs multiple times they said we can't say as it is lying with them..

So eventually went to canadian embassy yesterday morning...asked them about my passport as it was already 20 days down and in a file i received from my VO i stated it will take 10 working days..so showed them my vfs receipt but they made me wait almost 3 hours just to respond me back with the ans..upon asking security they say they are checking ur details...

After standing 3 hours outside embassy gate (they don't even allow you inside as its against their rule nor can you speak with any of the counselor) they asked me to come after 2 hrs to collect the passport...went after 2 hours collected passport...but that relief you get after is not comparable with at all with 20 days & 5 hours...

Thnx all on this forum for helping and guiding..people here are very helpful selflessly..

If some one can guide me over POF..I had shown POF under my wifes account in INR..her bank statement will reflect amount in INR only..i am not planning to transfer this funds to canada...i am planning to carry few dollars along with me and can i just show this Indian Bank statement as my funds available with me? I have not taken a single penny out of those funds..I also have relative as canadian citizen in toronto so initially will be staying with them so will not incur that much of expenses...so is it necessary to show pof in dollars or indian bank statement would suffice?

I have to enter before 23rd March 2016..i am not planning to move down early..probably late year end or start of next year..can some one guide when should i book tickets so that i find it cheap and which flight is better?

Will keep posted with all updates...Thnx all again.. :) ;)

Any senior who has landing experience please help. And if any one form pakistan who has landed safely with Settlement funds. PLease help.

I am planning to land next month and here is my plan for carrying settlement funds.....

1. I'll take around 8,000 CAD in cash, 4 K with me and 4 K with my spouse (As there is a limit of 5,000 USD per person in Pakistan so i do not want any delays at airport)
2. Secondly i will get Demand Draft payable in my or my spouse name for rest of the money. And for demand draft there are two options
a. Open Foreign currency account (USD account) in Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan and get a Demand Draft in CAD payable to me or spouse
or
b. Get a Demand draft payable in my name from Western UNion or some other money exchange service.

Questions:
1. Is my Plan for carrying 8,000 CAD in cash OK?
2. Which is the best option 2.a or 2.b ?

Note I am travelling from Pakistan to Canada in few days time.

Any help / guidance will be highly appreciated.

Hi... Have safe landing..

I would suggest...go for Forex card.. where you can load multiple currencies... both CAD and USD which can be used anywhere. and the statement of the card. This can be 3000 CAD and 2000 USD. Rest of the cash u can carry as DD.
