On 26-05-15 CIC update their website regarding PCC.Now they mentioned Except Delhi other states person will apply PCC to their Local Police Stations & they will not accept PCC issued by RPO.

Now my query is people who submit recently PCC to VO before 26th may 2015 which was issued by RPO whether they has to submit again PCC by taking from Local police station or not.

Lot of people like mine will be looking for reply against this topic.

I experienced the same situation. No update after Medical Exams ( April 10th) until May 29th when Third and Fourth lines were added together on ECAS. I wish you good luck and cause may be only due to a delay of processing. That is all!
Thanks giftsmas hope is all I have!!

Hi guru1984,
I will let others answer your query. But thanks for pointing out this important news....+1 to you

All Indian applicants yet to submit PCC,

CIC has updated its website on 26th May....Looks like if ur a non-resident of Delhi, PCCs issued by PSK are no longer accepted
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp

Wonder why they would do this though...Sounds really silly.... :-\ ::)...hope it's a mistake

no where it is specifically mentioned that pcc from psk not acceptable. Unless they do so I think we can continue without any issue

Dear friends,
I received my COPR and visa stamping dated 28/04/15, very happy about it. However i am expecting to get an offer from a quebec company. Are we eligible to work in quebec? The COPR document says if to work in quebec to get CSQ from quebec. can someone elaborate on the process involved to get or with FSW itself we can work in quebec also???

True but in the earlier version, RPO PCC was specifically written as "acceptable"..this was the extract earlier->

"How to obtain a police certificate - India
Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes.

How and where do I obtain one?

Local Requests

For districts other than the Punjab:
Applicants should contact the local Senior Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of Police, the Additional Commissioner of Police, or the Station House Officer (Police clearance certificate issued by the Regional Passport Office are also acceptable.

For residents of the Punjab:
Only the Senior Superintendent of Police or the Regional Passport Office may sign a Police Clearance Certificate.

Non-Resident Requests
Applicants should contact the Indian embassy or consulate."

======================================================

Whereas this is what is written now->

"If you are a citizen of India:

If you live in India:
For residents of Punjab: You can apply to your local Senior Superintendent of Police, or the senior ranking police official at the police station in your District.

For residents of other states: You can apply at your local District Police Station.

For residents of Delhi: You can apply at your local District Police Station or online on the Delhi Police website or on the Passport India website. The Web site will list what information and documents you need. If you apply online, your certificate will be returned to you electronically.

If you live outside of India:
You can apply at your nearest Indian embassy or consulate."

They have specifically removed references to Passport Office except for Delhi residents... :(

I hope this is clarified by the VO....

Hi everyone,

This is meant for those planning to lend soon. Below is a brief description of my landing experience.

Landed in Toronto yesterday at 7pm. The whole process went smoothly and regarding proof of funds nothing was asked. The officer only asked how much cash we had and we told him. If he had asked us about PoF we were going to show our bank statements. Also we had a list of goods thats we were bringing in but the officer was only interested in the list of things to follow. Since we didn't have things to follow the officer waived us through. We also applied for SIN at the airport. This took about 20mins to do for both me and my wife.
